Hot Chip

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Hot Chip

As far as "new music" has gone, for about 4-5 years, I've found I can "take it" or "leave it"...

Hot Chip...

Now there is a new band that has something about them. And that song "Ready for the floor"... kooky. I really like it and could listen to it for a while. And indeed have been and right now am.

I remember watching the video to "Ready for the floor" about a year ago.

I think I described it to someone as looking like "Buggles on acid."

They gave me a strange look and false laugh, as if to imply "Buggles?"

Haven't heard much from Hot Chip since then, although it was around the same time that I stopped being subjected to Moyles and daytime Radio 1.

Oh well.

in agreement totally, 'new music' normally equals 'blah' to me to be honest, but i'm quite a fan of Hot Chip. They were played quite a bit on 6music a while ago and i've liked ever since.

How are we defining "new" music?

There's a new "new" music every decade or so, yes?

Sometimes more frequently.
