Slumdog Millionaire

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Snarlz and me agreeing twice?!!! Will wonders never cease.

Thought it was the best movie I've seen in years. Maybe since Shawshank Redemption or the Count of Monte Cristo.

Yeah, I got a Shawshank vibe about it as well.

I didn't cry.

does it have moments of man rape and horrible violence like Shawshank?

seriously tho, all I have seen of SM is the who wants to be a millionaire bit. the guy playing chris tarrent looked an awfull actor.

ignoring that I'm probably going to see it this week.

We're supposed to go and see it tonight... we ight go and see something else though, so who knows.

I get a bit annoyed by heavily hyped movies. They never seem as good as everyone says they are... I usually find my own way to enjoy whatever it is I watch however, so it's all good.

This may be the only movie where I have not heard a single person thus far say they didn't enjoy it. Maybe Shawshank.

We never did go see it as sex and Rock Band distracted us. However I am highly tempted to hate it without ever having seen it based solely on the "8 Oscars" post. :o

Would be a good test. The Dark Knight suffered for it's hype in my book. Not so this movie.

I didn't know that the movie was based one of my favorite reads of last year, Q & A. Now I've definitely got to see it. The book was great!
