New Judge Dredd movie!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Sweet! Mind you I did like the Stallone version but I am definetly looking forward to the remake. Hopefully Judge Death & the dark judges will be the main villans.

I hope not. I'm sure that would be a fun movie, but I really want to see a movie about Dredd judging criminals. Putting Judge Death in the movie would make it just another superhero movie. Dredd's not a superhero.

What about something based along the lines of The Pit?

Police corruption detective story set against an ultra-violent dystopian backdrop. Not a superhero for decades around. Just grit, blood and drokk.

Yes... That will do.

I hope they can pull off Dredd's armored look without making it look like a costume. It's supposed to be a functional law-enforcement uniform, not a Batman costume.

Somebody suggested Ron Perlman for the part. For the life of me, I can't think of anyone better.

While I'd agree Perlman's face is very Ezquerra-esque, having google imaged both actors, I'd say Brown has the more Dredd-like mandible.

Brown as Dredd and Perlman as villain works for me.

Also the helmets for Dredd, Hershy, Fargo etc have to stay on at all times.
