Terminator: Salivation. (now with SPOILERS).

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I think TF:2 is following this movie in the year.

Which sucks, because basically, it looks like Terminator:Salivation is Terminator:Rise of the Transformers.

Which means fans will be tired of giant robots come Revenge of the Fallen.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

He would actually be forced to sit down and have tea with Hugh Jackman, after which they would decide to put aside their old magic trick enmity and be teammates in the Amalgam movie.

And yes, I didn't feel like resizing it.

So far I am pleased with what I see of the new Terminator film, Sadly however I know this wont bring the story to full circle, I just found out a 5th one is coming soon.

I'm annoyed now.

Isn't there a trilogy of new films due?

Does anyone know is this follows Terminator 3, or the SCC timeline?

Yeah. It's a trilogy (unless something goes wrong) :)

As far as I know this has nothing to do with the tv-series.

Yes.

Interestingly, it sounds like Bale says "What are you?" in the same tones that Christopher Fairbank said it to Michael Keaton in the opening minutes of Batman (or, the bit where Batman is holding the hood over the edge of the roof, telling him to tell his friends about him, if you want the exact scene).

I wonder why Edward Furlong wasn't cast in this movie? He's about the right age, and I'm sure he's available.

Probably because his face doesn't fit the role any more.

Also maybe something to do with the fact most people would rather see a film with Christian Bale in than a film with Edward Furlong in.

Well, it was good up to about the midway point of the movie. Some of the best action scenes I'd seen in a long time.

Then, the movie just lost it's way and became one big careless clusterfuc.

They just didn't know how to end it. Threw everything in there that was in the previous Terminator movies they could possibly think of.

Very sloppy writing at the end. Would go into more details, but not sure if spoilers are allowed in this topic.

Gave it 2.5 out of 4 stars. Average movie with a few incredible scenes, but the worst of the four Terminator movies, me thinks.

Haven't seen Wolverine yet, but thus far, Star Trek is the best film of the year for me.

Disappointing to hear Yaya, especially that it's even WORSE than T3. :( I've been hearing some reports like this tho, for a while. That it's not quite everything some of us thought it was cracked up to be.

I'll probably catch it on DVD instead. ( "special" DVD that is...) And save my money for Star Trek and TF2. Wolverine is apparently another lost cause as well...

I wouldn't go by me if you thought T3 was bad, because I actually thought T3 was a good movie. Not as good as T1 or T2, but good enough.

Very average. I wasn't going in expecting 2001: A Space Odyssey but it would've been nice to see a film with some new ideas, but it's just pinched from the first 3 movies and any other decent sci-fi out there (Blade Runner, BSG, etc).

An absolute vacuum of interesting character moments. John Connor's characterisation basically amounted to shouting all the time, Kate did nothing but stand around for continuity's sake and Marcus, undoubtedly the most interesting character, was still totally wasted. And the dialogue has some real howlers.

There's one very cool bit near the end, but it's not nearly enough.

Weirdly, I found myself wishing while watching it that it was either Transformers or The Dark Knight I was watching, 2 movies that it clearly seemed to be aiming at.

And what's this aversion to using the Terminator theme in Terminator movies these days?

Hiring Batman to be in your movie does not a good film make. And McG has a lot to answer for.

I thought the kid from Diversity was really good in it though.
