Hello
A few days ago my pc (a PIV 3ghz) started to give me trouble.
The following message appeared: "Kernel Data Inpage Error"
Up until a moment ago each time I restarted it, it was painfully slow getting into Windows and making anything. Now is a bit better (just to write you this).
My sister installed Office 2007 recently so I assumed it could be that (Ive just uninstalled it)
What can be causing it? What can I do?
A month ago I had a different error message (overheating) and I was planning to change all the coolers this week. Can it be for this?
Thnx
Pc Trouble

Sounds like a pagefile issue. The slowness could be that the pagefile is fragmented across your C: drive, although the error message itself points towards possible sector corruption on the disk.
The overheating error is most likely just that, but before going out and buying new fans, it's probably a good idea to make sure there's not a simpler cause, such as an accumulation of dust. Nothing like a thick layer of dust to reduce airflow, decrease fan efficiency and be easily remedied by cleaning.
As to the pagefile issues, defragmenting the drive will probably solve (or at least reduce) the slowness, but before doing that it would be a good idea to run checkdisk on the drive, to ensure none of the disk that the defragmenter will use is bad (and cause any further data corruption).
It's a good idea to run regular defragments and disk checks in any case, just to keep your drives in good health.

Thnx!
Is a little better after the defragmentation, but still slow. For instance when playing an mp3 it runs normally but slows back at some points.
What else can be done?
Worst case scenario format C?
