The Office--American

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Anyone watch this? The new season looks pretty interesting... I like how they wrangled Ryan back into the office. And Jim and Pam are finally engaged! They're going to drag that storyline out as long as they can, though.[/list]

I've seen the first two seasons of the US version of The Office, and its good stuff. For the sake of chasing laughs it is more beyond the realms of plausibility than the UK original though - Dwight's character doesn't ring true for me at all.

Maybe you've just never worked in a U.S. office.

I rather enjoy the show, although I don't watch it on a weekly basis. I catch reruns on TBS sometimes. It's funny, and everyone loves Steve Carell. I think it was casted brilliantly, especially Kevin. EVERYONE knows somebody like that.
