Star Wars: The Clone Wars Movie

I know this movie has been bashed left and right. I know that it's reviews have been lower than low.
But damn hell, I loved it!
Don't get me wrong, there were some things that were weak, like the dialogue, which was clearly geared towards a younger audience.
But the animation was absolutely superb. The story was good enough. The music, I thought, was great despite it being quite a departure from standard Star Wars music.
Maybe on DVD, it will lose some of it's charm, but on the big screen, I had loads of fun with it.

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Yeah, that's a drawback, but the animation was so damn good that it more than made up for any of the other shortcomings.spiderfrommars wrote:Despite the new characters the goodies are still Anakin (who becomes Darth Vader) and the Republic (who become the Evil Empire). Uh, whats the point?
When you see this movie, you have to go in with a focus on the visual aspect of it, looking past the dialogue that's geared to a younger audience.
Also, I thought it actually had more of an original Star Wars vibe than any of the other three prequel movies. Don't know why. Maybe it was Jabba's palace, Tatooine, jawas, bantha.

Did so. Loved it for that reason too. That, and WALL-E.Best First wrote:Or you could just go and watch Kung Fu Panda.Yaya wrote: When you see this movie, you have to go in with a focus on the visual aspect of it, looking past the dialogue that's geared to a younger audience.
Guess I just love animated films.
Nothing has ever come close to Watership Down though. Nothing.

Got some advice for you.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:The pretty rabbits, they are so brave!
All the world will be your enemy, Imp with a thousand enemies. And whenever they catch you, they will kill you.
But first they must catch you.
So just be cunning and full of tricks.
And you'll never be destroyed.

This is my problem with Star Wars these days, even the fanbase's main argument seems to be, "its good if you look past all of the really rubbish stuff". Still, I heard a lot of good things about the older Clone Wars cartoon.Yaya wrote: When you see this movie, you have to go in with a focus on the visual aspect of it, looking past the dialogue that's geared to a younger audience.

I felt there was limited rubbish in this one though too (the dialogue was the rubbish part, the story not bad, and the animation fantastic).
