The Incredible Edward Norton Hulk (trailer)

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Can't believe I'm still here.

I'm underwhelmed, honestly. That's saying a lot as this teaser gives away quite a bit.

it looks alright to me, although bit worried by the seeming implication that the Hulk doesn't show up until near the end...

edit - as an aside the Wanted trailer is quality...

Whole bunch of flashbacks to the movie they wanted Ang Lee to make, that's my guess.

It was ok. :) I think I agree that they shouldn't have revealed so much of the two big monsters.

Especially the Abomination should have been kept under wraps more, as a looming threat.

The trailer did show too much of what's instore and what I did see didn't really float my boat. Well there was the one scene that seemed to be with a shrink, I'd like to see them explore his head a bit as it's so ****ed up in there.

Wanted looked really good, Jolie, Cars, Guns, Explosions and that guy from Shameless.. what more could you ask for :D

Looking forward to Hellboy II and Indy also.

I would have thought I'd look forward more to this than Iron Man... nope. Looks like a big dumb monster fight.

Boo for Liv Tyler replacing Jennifer Connolly.

So are we supposed to forget about the previous movie? There seems to be parts of the trailer that overlap....

Edward Hulk looks a bit too anime for my taste. I think it's the eyes.

The bit with the Bixby eyes gave me a bit of a shock, actually. Wonder if they'll put that old piano theme in there.

hmmm, doesn't look bad per se. Doesn't look great either. I'm really hoping that wasn't basically the entire story and that they're holding something of real interest back, otherwise its just a bit pointless making another Hulk movie so soon. I was a bit shocked that they've made a Lost Boys 2, and the Iron Man trailer was cool. Wanted looks absolutely ridiculous, perfect man-date movie.

They are making a lost boys sequel? OMG it stars both Cory Haim and Cory Feldman.... This has to be the most ridiculous yet awesome idea I have ever heard

Thing is though, back in the day Lost Boys was a bit special. Nowadays, post Buffy and whatnot, I don't see how its going to stand out, or avoid looking like a watered-down version of the original, unless one of the vampires has Kiefer Sutherland's charisma . I read somewhere Corey Haim pretty much just has a cameo, but I can't confirm that. The trailer does make it look kind of all about feldman though.

I did. Not as good as Iron Man, but enjoyed it and that's quite a feat, as I'm not a Hulk fan.

I saw it. Really really liked it.

Tim Roth was brilliant, though was a shame the actor got virtually written out for the climax of the character's arc. Liked the seeds layed down for the Avengers film, what with the origin being rooted in the super soldier program and all that. Also great to get a teaser at what the Cap America effects might look like.

Though, that said, not superb. Of the... er, quick count... six "based off of a comic" films I've seen this year, it's number four. Behind Iron Man, Dark Knight and Wanted.

Been a good year for comic movies hasn't it?

Of that lot I haven't caught the Hulk, but Hellboy II was brilliant, and about ten times better than the first one.

Saw it myself, and I really rather liked it. Especially the first half of the movie is pretty great, where there is lots of Banner and they hound him across the world. :)

I certainly hope Marvel considers giving the big green Norton another shot at the screen, because I think so many people were still hung up on the last rather boring Ang Lee version, to give this one a proper try.

Haven't caught Hellboy2, but I'm not really a fan, so it's more of a "wait for a rainy day, and the illegal DVD" kind of movie to me.

I'm not sure on that. I really enjoyed the Golden Army, and it had some great sequences, beautifully shot, really quite funny, so on and so on. But it felt kinda disjointed... more like a sequence of skits than a cohesive story. "And now we'll do a scene with this monster! And now for this plot device!" etc. I could pick holes in it all day long, but ultimately it was a good laugh and didn't take itself too seriously, so I let it off.

Prob work better the second time around.

But then I was quite indifferent towards the first one when I initially saw it, but really enjoyed it on the rewatch prior to going off to see the sequel.

We can agree that 30 Days of Night was just thoroughly underwhelming though, right?

Thought Hulk was mediocre. Totally different, but not better than Ang Lee's.

Hurt and Tyler were horrible.

Iron man, dark night, hellboy 2 en the hulk, I must say it has been a great year. No catwoman or elektra to ruin it, or the stale ghostrider and DD.

Havn't seen wanted yet, but the trailer looks sooo stupid. Curve the bullit? ehh..

Saw 30 days of night yesterday. Mayor plotholes and cliches, kinda ripped you out of the movie. Which had a good atmosphere and potential, but in short: the director kinda ****** it up.

Actually enjoyed it, more than Iron Man even.

Ang Lee's version was a crock of ****, one of the absolute worst movies I have ever witnessed. I still laugh when I think of Banner's father, for no good reason, biting that wire and growing into a huge indeciperable mangled mess of villian.

In fact, when my brother and I get mad, we have a joke where we pretend to grab a wire and chomp! Then, pwwwt, spitting it out. It's hilarious.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

What I didn't get about the movie was: Blonsky was transformed to a supersoldier using that blue ****. Then why the hell did they need Hulk? They were already able to make supersoldiers.

I didn't enjoy it as much as Iron Man, but I thought...

It was as good a Hulk movie as Iron Man was an Iron Man movie. It just so happens that the whole "playboy military industrial complex bad ass technology" thing makes a much better movie than Hulk, which is basically one long drawn out chase scene.

Golden Army was also pretty good.

Anyone see Wanted? I heard that sucked the big one.

I think the inference was they were trying lots of different techniques to recreate it, as the serum they used on Blonksy didn't always work. Or somesuch.

Wanted was awesome. In a "turn your brain off and don't ask too many questions" way.

Don't think too hard about the Loom of Fate. Don't worry about the physics.
Eber wrote:Did anybody see this load of crap? Me neither. A remake of a remake...
1) How do you know it's a load of crap if you didn't see it?

2) It's not a remake. It's a different interpretation of the source material.

That somebody else has previously tried to adapt it shouldn't automatically preclude anybody from having a go later down the line.

Does the existence of Heston in The Omega Man mean that Will Smith shouldn't have been allowed to be in I Am Legend? Of course not.
