Having more or less decided to go to Africa this year (yay!) if work and finances permit, I was thinking this morning of other places I'd like to visit
1. Iceland, because it must be amazingly beautiful
2. Russia, especially St. Petersburg and maybe travelling on the orient express
3. America (the US), to see what it's really like, because from seeing it on tv (in the news and the movies) it sounds like a surreal place

The Australia/NZ region, definitely.
And Europe, of course. Russia as well. I mean, there's lots of places I'd like to visit in France, UK, Germany, etc. for the culture, but I'd love to visit Italy, Greece, Turkey, Russia, etc. for the history.
You say surreal like it's a good thing, Eline. :P

Ironically, many places with a long religious history might put an end to your own.sprunkner wrote:I'd love to do Ireland again, esp. Belfast and the northern coast.
Ethiopia. Jerusalem. India. Anyplace with a long religious history.
Now that that's out of the way...
I'd like to visit England. I'm hoping to spend a few days there in July or August.
Also, not all of Japan is super crowded. Stay away from Tokyo and chunks of Osaka and you'll be fine.
