I've been catching up with this series on youtube, and it's really rather splendid. Debunking any number of subjects from their libertarian, atheist, sceptical and scientific position, I don't always agree with them (gun control isn't bullsh*t, for example), but it's usually entertaining nonetheless, and they're not afraid to pick on some pretty big targets (the Bible, Mt. Rushmore etc.) Oh, and there's gratuitous swearing and tits.
Anyone else seen this?

I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

It's a mountain on land traditionally held by native Americans that was defaced by a Ku Klux Klan member with the faces of those most responsible from taking the land away from the people who rightfully owned it.Predabot wrote:Uhm... I don't get it.. And maybe it's because I haven't seen the Mt Rushmore episode, but... why is Mt Rushmore bull-s**t?
It's just a mountain!
With that said, I thought the scientologist episode was quite entertaining.
They also go on a fairly long "what is patriotism" bender in that episode. Somehow, they got a bunch of "patriots" to sign petitions that basically give away a good chunk of first amendment rights. Also, they had a bunch of other people sign a petition demanding that the UN recognize that The United States is the best country in the world because it has the best people, landscapes, and freedoms. Several people sign it while professing that the "really feel very strongly about this."
Towards the end of the episode, they reveal that the majority of people they asked to sign "their ******** petitions" refused. They also have an amazing patriotic monologue/magic trick that makes the whole episode worthwhile, imo. It made me remember why I used to love America and why I eventually left it.
