Heroes Season 2

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Heroes Season 2

So was anyone else disappointed of the lameness that was Heroes Season 2?

That last chapter should have been called "How To Stop An Exploding Show".

I gave up at episode seven (or eight). And I'm very satisfied with that decision.
Dull, lame and boring.

Ending of Chapter 2 was decent. Got a bit plodding with some of it being repetitive, but got itself on track and wrapped itself up in a timely fashion.

Entertaining, but not a patch on season 1. Basically got to a point of "seriously, they can't keep dragging this on, can they?" and they didn't. So fair play.
Grrr. Argh.

Yeah the last few eps really turned it around. it'd got so slow and plodding in the middle but maybe this writer's strike has done us a favour?

It was a bit of a slow burn at the start...I mean for quite a while there I'd tune in and go "Oh FFS, is Hiro still buggering about in the past? Have Maya and Allejandro still not got anywhere? Has Peter still not got his memory back? What are they doing, dragging these plotlines out as long as possible?"

And then - wham! - everything happened in the last two episodes. I expected a show like Heroes to have maintained that pace throughout tbh
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I really thought even the ending was lame.

I mean, every ****** under the sun is telling Peter not to trust Adam, and he can't get it through his thick head.

And the guy can walk through walls, even take people with him like he did with Adam when they escaped the company, but to get into the vault he's got to strain his ass off with his powers to move the door?

And Maya. "You....you tricked me! I trusted you! Over my brother, who has been with me since I was a baby, who stood by me in every which way!"

We got some dumbass heroes here, folks.

Maybe there's a limit to that power, maybe the safe was lined with dense material and that phasing power can't penetrate it. Still, it probably would've been easier to melt the door with radiation... hey ho.

What's the betting that Peter forgets that a syringe of his blood will heal Nathan?

That's the trouble with Peter, he's just got too many powers which means that he has to conveniently forget them for the plot's sake otherwise he'll just become a deus ex machina every time they need to get out of a tricky spot.

Presumes Nate survives long enough for Peter to find a syringe. And that Peter's other powers don't affect the blood... Claire and Sark only have regenerative power... Peter's blood could do crazy things for all we know.

Well, I predicted that this was the end for Nate. Why? Because the guys too good an actor to be stuck on a show that's quickly sinking. I think he'll be moving on to bigger and brighter things. Nicki on the other hand.....never has there been someone go from smokin hot to 'just let me bitch slap her, just once!" Talk about annoying.

I don't know, they need some serious work if they want to regain the glory of Season One.

It's like in DC... whenever there is a huge alien attack or catasthrope in some of the DC titles (see Batman Cataclysm) Superman is conveniently off-world, otherwise he'd solve the problem with a flick of his wrist.

I'm sorry, but even Hiro is getting more and more stupid. He thinks the best way to imprison an immortal who can heal himself is to put him into a grave 5 meters under the soil? Adam will simply punch the lid and regenerate the wounds and will dig himself out in a few weeks... :eyebrow:

Yeah, you nailed it. Peter is too powerful. They need to find some sort of Kryptonite for this guy to make it interesting.

Hero is also too powerful. He can just travel back in time and change things.

THis looks like a job for... The Haitian?

I thought it was established in Season 1 that he can't actually do much in the way of change things when he tried to save Charlie.

It was.

He's also realised, in trying to save his father, that he shouldn't.
