It airs tomorrow (in the US).

"More crap" was pretty good. I'm glad someone finally took the piss out of Bono other than Viz magazine, who somehow manage to mention in every issue that he chartered a plane because he'd left his hat behind...
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Yeah, this trilogy will be bad ass.
It sucked though, because when you come upon Imagination Land, I was like, "Hot damn, it's every single imaginary character every to appear on South Park (like the Alien Taco) or be liscenced in a way that South Park can still use them (Like Op or the Care Bears)! This is going to be a visual treat!"
And then they all blew up.

Interestingly, Matt and Trey have gone on record to say that they don't care if people pirate their show, as long as they watch it. Which is just as well, 'cause the latest Viz has an advert for season 5 on DVD. Season 5! That means the current series will be released some time in 2013, ffs.Legion wrote:Just started *cough*acquiring*cough* the eps last night... saw the tourettes one tho... pure class!
And the good characters may have blown up, but I bet the evil imaginary characters will be even better...Skeletor and Soundwave are absolute must-haves.
Speaking of which, anyone else see Soundwave in Family Guy last night? I was rolling on the floor squeeing while my housemate (only 9 years my junior) berated me for being childish...
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Huh. We're up to season 10 on DVD over here, with 11 just around the corner.

"Beginning next year, fans of Comedy Central's South Park will be able to watch any episode of the animated series at any time -- free -- by accessing it online at SouthParkStudios.com, MTV Networks announced Wednesday. The company said it was not concerned about cannibalizing the audience for the show itself. Speaking at the Reuters Media Summit in New York, MTV Networks Chairman and CEO Judy McGrath said, "One does not diminish the other by any stretch of the imagination. That is kind of our hat trick." She indicated that other MTV Networks shows may also go online. Already eight years of Daily Show videos, 13,000 in all, are available. "The Daily Show was the first out of the gate and it's been a big success and it's a nice little model for us to follow," Mika Salmi, MTV Networks president of global digital media, told Reuters."

It IS awesomeo.
I have to point out as an FYI aside, though, that this type of stuff is EXACTLY what the Writer's Guild are striking over here in the US.
Viacom feels that this type of online content is "advertising" for the TV show, not revenue in itself, and thus they should not have to concede royalties to writers when their work is used on the Web.
Writers feel that, since the streaming sites have online advertising on them that Viacom is making money off of, online content IS a revenue producing medium, and they should be paid.

I doubt the writers' strike will affect South Park though, since they would essentially be striking against themselves. And since they already encourage their fans to download episodes, it's not really a huge step forward imho.
Last episode was a bit of a letdown though, I was hoping they would do a Prince-based episode about his tantrum over people using his image on the internet, a high-profile "look, we're using your image in our show, sue us" kind of thing...instead we got some fluff about girls making lists, which was good, but not the kind of greatness I was expecting.

Kyle got Aids and Britney blew off half her head.
The latest episode is called Major Boobage.
You can watch it here, I think.
"For reportedly the first time, every episode of every season of a TV series will be streamed online in its entirety with the official launch Tuesday of the new South Park website at southparkstudios.com. In a statement, Comedy Central said that since a beta version was launched last Wednesday, it had delivered more than a million streams of full South Park episodes. The show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, said in a statement that they had pushed for the site because "we got really sick of having to download our own show illegally all the time so we gave ourselves a legal alternative." Due to contractual issues, the episodes will not be available in the U.K., Australia and a few other countries, "but we're not far off from making that happen," South Park Digital Studios General Manager Anne Garefino said."

The latest episode was the greatest ******* thing ever. I don't even know how to describe it.
Kenny. With a super hot lady with giant boobies. Walking towards a king that sits on a throne of boobies.
Here's direct link to the episode.
Enjoy

It was an entire HOMAGE to Heavy Metal, at least the drug scenes. Otherwise, it was more about Eliot Spitzer and pot than anything else, I suppose.Rebis wrote:Looks reminiscent of Heavy Metal.
I think these first three episodes have been slightly weak. Honestly, I'm surprised at how much people liked this last episode. I watched it thinking two things: "If you've never seen Heavy Metal, then this probably isn't as funny" and "I think this is the closest South Park has come to jumping the shark thus far."
My fave part was the end. That guy was f***ing WASTED on life, man.

I thought High School Musical was a bit naff, but Goth/Vamps was awesome.
