Mainstream was a bad word usage. I meant he's not regarded as cutting edge A-list material. As evidenced by your assertion that he's past his peak. No big sales, no heavy media attention/praise (aside from when he does something gimmicky).spiderfrommars wrote:Surely Prince is mainstream?
Okay, he's a legend and nobody'd argue that... but he's not exactly the media darling that Thom Yorke is so desperately trying (and failing) not to be.
He's not as much a part of the public consciousness as, say, McFly. Sadly.
