Beatle Battle

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Seems everyone hates Macca except the Americans these days...

Every interview I've ever seen shows Ringo as a down-to-earth, honest bloke. Not the most talented by a long shot but by far the friendliest and most decent of them all :)

Second would come George, who would very nearly take top spot just for 'Here Comes the Sun', one of my favourite songs of all time.

John would come next, who cynical and sarcastic as he was was very intelligent, a great songwriter and also quite humble- when the group broke up he summed it up simply as "It's just a rock group who've split up, it's nothing important- you've got all the old albums if you want to reminisce."

Paul comes last. He's a talented bloke and made some awesome music but by Christ he's an oily bastard these days. He also gives the least to charity of just about any rock star (Elton John takes top spot- he seems to have worked out he can give away millions and millions and it means absolutely nothing to his lifestyle).

George - mostly because of "I've got my mind set on you".
I must've played that record a million times when I was a kid

EDIT: He's my favourite... I totally misread the poll title.

There it is for me also. His slight disconnect with reality has gone past 'odd' and into 'bit bloody off-putting' in the last what, four or five years? I don't particularly enjoy hearing from him anymore, or his more recent music.

I'd probably agree with Karl's order entirely.

so... you like him the least? or the most?

I love that song.

Anyway, i pretty much agree with Karls list, except i would give Rrringo Staarr extra points for Thomas the Tank engine.

Curiously enough, Thomas and Friends are now voiced by Michael Angelis, who is the younger brother of Paul Angelis, who was the voice of Ringo in Yellow Submarine.

Not a fan of any of them individually, but my father being a big fan, I grew up on them...

I'd put John first, for all that he could be an absolute [composite word including 'f*ck']-**** sometimes. He wrote the best songs and Paul's songs sounded better with him around.

Now for a question that REALLY matters: Blur or Oasis?

Honestly Best First post sounded pretty angry to me.

****ing hell is there some kind of online epidemic of baseless perceptions of anger going round at the moment?

First Wideload and now you.

i asked a simple question, you said you dislike Harrison the most but you played his song a million times as a kid, i just asked for a little clarification as they are potentially a bit contradictory.

Oh the rage i expressed! Sorry if anyone's monitor ignited.

The notion that i sound "pretty angry" in that post is just bollocks.

And either way your response is totally out of order.

So, in essence, think before you post or don't post.

I wasnt being serious!

I thought we (KingMob, me and you) were doing a "parody" on the other thread. Sorry dude! :(

When I said "****" I said it like "Oh ****, I misunderstood the whole thread".

Then KingMob brought on the rant-comment (which I thought was a nod to the thread with wideload). Then you made your post - and I thought it was all "haha, just like the other thread, only not serious".

So, to make things clear: your post was not angry at all, "****" wasn't directed at you :)

Hope you won't kill me :o

EDIT: I'm so so sorry Best First. Hope I didn't ruin your day or anything.

I was indeed just taking the mick, using the other thread as fuel. Apols for getting you in trouble Ob!
But now that we've all seen the dangers of using ******* massive amounts of profanity, I'm never ******* swearing on the internets again.

This is just a small part of a big plot that'll lead to my ass being banned, isn't it, KingMob?

I am on to you...

Well, ever since I found out you were circumcised, I admit, I have wanted to crush you and hear the lamentation of your women. Men with cut willies just upset me that much.

Troublemakers, the lot of you.

So basically I've bumped into a lot of people lately who say Paul is their least fave.

I can understand why. The guy's a genius but boy does he know it.

John and George are my favourites. There was a lot to them besides the music. And Ringo rocks - fact.
