Hey UK guys! What does beer cost?

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I know you didn't ask for it, but here it is anyway (I thought it would be fun to compare).

In Sweden, you can get 24 domestic beers for 30 - 35 USD (500ml, per can).
In Sweden, you can get six Guinness for 13 USD (330ml, per bottle).
In Sweden, a beer at the pub will cost you around 5 USD.

Just to convert, that's about $20-22 for a case, $5.50-7 for a pint :)

AFAIK we pay a higher tax on such things in the UK than in the US :)

Not sure I get the joke about Canada.

Anyway here a flat (is what we call a 24 pack and a 12 is called a case) will cost you about 30USD, although this varies from province to province.

A drink in a pub 4USD and up (unless you can find specials in grimier places)

A 6 pack of guiness probably about 14 USD, although I think we mostly sell them in tall packs of 4 for like 12 USD

Good thing I don't like beer.
Either way, I'm not even old enough.
I don't even know why I'm reading this.

Oh well, future reference I guess?
I'm still working on my army...call me in 2 years.
I'll destroy you then.

I don't touch beer either - but I know we do make our own here in Singapore.

4 pack of 440 ml (tall cans) guiness is 10.99 Canadian. Which is just over 10 USD
http://www.bcliquorstores.com/en/products/296244

24 pack of labatt blue (which is a pretty standard beer is 37.55 Canadian, which is like 34 USD (other standard beers like molson Canadian etc. are the same price.)
