Im just shocked, I cant belive he did that, Ive been reading the RAW report from monday evening and everyone keeps saying that he always brought his wife and kids to shows, how he had a loving family, why did he do this...
I feel so sorry for his family, he still has two other children who are left to try and come to terms with thier dad murdering thier mum and brother. I just cant belive it, im stunned, shocked, [composite word including 'f*ck'] knows....
why...

There has to be some reason.
The fact that he cancelled his last appearence to deal with "personal problems" suggests to me that this was something premeditated.
Was his son asleep when he was smothered? I'm just envisioning a "Well, my wife cheated on me, so she has to die. But I can't have my son growing up in a world where his Dad killed his Mum, so I should probably go smother him in bed. Wait, I just killed my wife and son, I'm f***** too, I had better go kill myself as well."
It's definitely a sad situation, and hopefully not steroid-induced irrational rage. Sadly though, all I can think about are the Von Erichs, Rick Rude, British Bulldog, Bam Bam Bigelow, Crash Holly, Mr. Perfect, Eddie Gurerro, and Road Warrior Hawk, all of which had drug use and steroid play a part in their deaths, although none did anything this henious.

Weird I wouldnt have expected something like that from him. From all I watched from WWE It looked like he cared a lot for his family.

Granted its not official, but there may be some truth to it. Im sure the steroids didnt help the situation....

They certainly helped the situation where he was healing from a broken ****ing neck. Can we not blame prescription medication? This board is smarter than that.IronHide wrote:http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19424899/?GT1=10056Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:I dunno, the offical police report is saying that it was not steroid related.

He also killled his wife on the Friday, his son on the saturday, and then himself on the sunday/moday.
He also laid bibles at thier bodies.
Hardley the act of someone in a rage, more someone who has contemplated everything.
anyhows, still cant get over whats happened, I think its awfull, and this is the worse event in WWE history. what a waste.
WHat a completely selfish thing to do.

He found religion in his recent past?Professor Smooth wrote:Apparently, Benoit "found religion" sometime in the fairly recent past.
****, do I even need to say it?
Well then, it's OBVIOUS that God and religion told him to kill his family! What can be more obvious than that? Just chalk up three more dead bodies for the bloodthirsty demon Religion! Damn those people and their trying to find happiness and meaning in a sad and meaningless world!
Why are they even having an investigation? IT'S AN OPEN AND SHUT CASE. Let's get the Country Sherrif up to St. Peter's gates, 'cause I got a warrant for God, and I am NOT f****** around.
Why would you command him to kill, God? And then to make him put Bibles on their chests, just so we all know that it was Your sadistic desires that killed the poor souls, and that Chris Benoit was in no way involved?
Okay, that about covers my sarcasm for the day.

I've said this on another board, I'll say it here.
We don't know what happened. Until we do, we're not in a position to judge anyone or anything. Benoit has obviously done this, we know that much. What we don't know is why, and it's useless and dangerous to speculate until an investigation has been carried out.
Then the blame game can begin.

Might I just remind that steriods can have an opposite effect... They can cause depression as well as "roid rage".
If they were involved at all of course. Who knows. It's a safe bet, as it's a competitive field...

Just as another side of the coin. I was almost heartbroken to hear what happened... when I found out the details, I was floored. It's... just sad and upsetting and I don't really know what else to say about it. Benoit was one of my favourite wrestlers, and I always thought he seemed [judging from what I've read and heard anyway] like someone who had a certain amount of integrity.

More disturbing and odd news: Apparently someone in the city where WWE is based altered Benoit's Wikipedia entry and referenced his wife's death hours before the authorities found them. They're tracing the IP address further as we speak.

If it happens best of luckProfessor Smooth wrote:At least this has finally spurred me to seek therapy. I don't want to end up like Benoit.
TBH I've always found therapists disinterested and unhelpful, but it's different when you're in a country where you have to pay for them I think. Once you're giving them money for the privellige they're more than happy to listen
Exactly the same here. Far as I was always concerned, he represented pretty much everything positive about the business.saysadie wrote:I was almost heartbroken to hear what happened... when I found out the details, I was floored. I mean hell, it's taken me 'til today to even be able to say anything on the subject.
Grrr. Argh.

America: Where it takes an accusation of accesory to murder before the next generation says, "Hey, you know what? Maybe I SHOULDN'T go onto Wikipedia and call people whores, n******, and dead bodies. MAYBE that might have negative consequences for me at some point."
On a side note, I must say judging by the response on this borad, I had no idew WWE had such a level of cultural conciousness outside of North America.

I think its a problem of your country therapists -with or without money involved.Karl Lynch wrote:

I often got the feeling he didn't exist for them whilst he was alive...
And even then only when he finds out that he's not actually anonymous...Shanti418 wrote:America: Where it takes an accusation of accesory to murder before the next generation says, "Hey, you know what?
