A question about World of Warcraft.

I friend has given me a ten-day-trial-thingy and wants me to play it with him.
He is currently playing a Night-Elf.
Is it possible for me to create a Horde-character, and team up with him?
Or will I be killed when I set foot on the, er, "alliance island"?

I'll probably only play the ten free days, so if I have to create a Alliance character, that's no biggie.

I don't think so- conceptually yes, there are neutral areas I believe, but in 10 days you're unlikely to level up enough to get there, though I might be wrong on that?

Noes, I did but not atm... I sorta miss it but in another way I don't... it could be genuinely awesome and then at other times just ******* dull- like when you first get up to a new skill level and have a load of quests to do, but then you do them all and realise you have to start grinding (repeating easy stuff over and over) to level up again. That and how it's all level based and most people on it seem determined to get to level 69 (or whatever's highest now) ASAP and when they get there whinge they have nothing to do, so increasing amounts of the game are given over to making new content for them rather than people like me who just played it steady and for fun

Im playing the new kid on the block - Lord of the Rings Online. its like WoW in every sense, only new, and better.
Im also mega lazy and paid to have my character power leveled to 30...
because im cool.
