I hate my job. How 'bout you?

Like I said, not for the faint of heart.
Lucky you! We've had our new departmental structure posted and due to my still being on contiguous fixed-term contracts, rather than substansive, I can't even apply for my own job, which doesn't exist in the new structure.

Aww, man. That really sucks! Will they be able to keep you on in some other capacity?

Well, according to the office gossip, there's a few people eyeing up what would be my new role, which would leave me with only a less specialised position to apply for once I'm able to. But I've already put the feelers out for similar jobs that are based a lot closer to home and would pay a little bit more too, and I've still got a month or two left on my current contract so I'm not that fussed about it, yet.

It it good to hear that you might have some options. :)

Update: I interviewed and was offered my job at a pay cut. More than seven years experience did not matter. So now I am "worth less" to the newer, larger company, based in a city far, far away.

But, they do have an online university that I guess I will avail myself of in my copious spare time (between both my jobs). Perhaps I will be worth more when I have somthing other than a music degree.

Good luck to ya, Rebis! :smokin:
