Last weekend...

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

One hears of floating things that could perhaps, rest a weary cyclist for a spell.

Or else he knew where the steps were.

I've lost "the touch" completely. :(

Was this the charity-thing you were cycling for? Sorry that I couldn't spare a dime for ya' to make the world more bearable, but I'm kind of below minimum-wage...

Ya' know what? If we ever meet in person I'll buy ya' a pint. I don't ussually advocate drinking, but you've earned one.

How many english miles is it twixt Londun' and Paris btw? I'll convert it to the metric-system later.

Well done, Paul. :)

Dear lord... 48 metric miles... Hmm, but is that counting the wet stuff? A good workout none the less, natch.

Is there even such a thing as a metric mile?

I've heard of a metric tonne, which differs from a ton by being an exact 1000 kilogrammes.

But a metric mile? Surely the kilometre holds that metric unit of distance.

Anyway, it would appear, from brief calculation, that Predabot's metric mile is approx. 6 statute miles, which would be approx. 5 nautical miles, or approx. 9 kilometres.

I could move on into more obscure units, such as leagues, but this joke is already wearing thin.
