Trailer for Sarah Connor Chronicles

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

So does this completely ignore Terminator 3:Horrible Abortion? Looks like it could be good.

From IMDB "Set after the events in 'Terminator 2' Sarah Connor and her son John, trying to stay under-the-radar from the government as they plot to destroy the computer network Skynet in hopes of preventing Armageddon."
Can't believe I'm still here.

It's supposed to be a "bridge" between 2 and 3. Which means it's in theory somewhat limited by the events it's building to... but it looks fairly funky and has Summer Glau and lots of explosions in. So I'll be watching.

Guess I will too.

Just wish they'd left it alone after T2.

I'm sure Glau will make a kick arse Terminatrix tho (after seeing her dish the pain in Serenity).

Me too, but boo all the same, cos T3 was pants. Maybe if its a success they might ignore T3 and do something better to milk the cash cow?

Its cool to hear the theme tune in the trailer.

I imagine it'll be Smallville-esque.

Wonder if Arnie will do a cameo somewhere down the line?

Well, they've shot the limited theory out of the window, then.

In T3 Connor is quite explicit in his ignorance of any future involving Terminators when he's talking to the T-850 about his life post-T2. Something like "I thought we prevented it when we took down Cyberdyne?"

As a T-800 whose role is to infiltrate US Government and back the Skynet Initiative and other human-killing policies?

Never quite understood the whole T3 premise:

"You can't change the past, it will happen anyway."

So why were Skynet sending all those Terminators back through time? :eyebrow:

To make sure it wouldn't happen for a long, long time?

Extra time to finish painting the hall, working out the decor for the living room and deciding whether or not to go for the patio?

Oh, the patio has to be a must!

The garden's a mess. All those irradiated skeletons.

The neighbours must think we held a regular genocide, last night.

But John Connor knew that you can't change the future (since he tried), so why did he bother sending protectors back after the Terminators- the Terminators were destined to fail anyway

Sorry, the naff logic of T3 makes my nose bleed.

Because they were destined to fail because of the intervention of the protectors! By not sending them, he's deviating from the destined course of oh look I've gone cross-eyed...

ignoring obvious issue with T3. looks pretty cool, if a bit buffy meets terminators or somthing.

The T-850 looks rubbish, how can I put it, the actor seems to get it all wrong, which is odd considering I always thought playing a terminator looked easy but he just doesnt seem, menacing enough or somthing.

still, good fun.

Just because he tried and failed doesn't techincally mean that it's impossible... besides if there's the slightest glimmer of a chance that your life is/was/has been in danger though inaction, you're going to take action anyway surely?

But it was the whole plot of T3

It's going to happen anyway, it can't be changed blah blah blah- which personally I think is utterly dumb and makes irrelevant pretty much everything the characters say or do :(

Well, at least T3 continued the theme of self-contained causal loops.

I thought it was entertaining, but did we need it?

Arnie looked short! And why no Terminator theme music? Grrr.

T3 was ONE joke short of being a Terminator parody. Still an enjoyable romp, though. The addition of the Terminator Theme would have made it feel less like an extended Scary Movie sketch.
