"The much-anticipated fourth Indiana Jones installment will be filmed this year, writer/producer George Lucas confirms. The filmmaker promises the sequel will be the most exciting chapter to date after finalizing the script with director Steven Spielberg. He says, "It's going to be fantastic. It's going to be the best one yet." He adds the film will be a "character piece" and see Harrison Ford reprise his role as the titular hero. Ford played Indiana Jones in 1981's Raiders Of The Lost Ark, 1984's Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom and 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, which also featured Sean Connery."
Screenwriter David Koepp (Spider-Man, Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds) has succeeded in pulling off what several other top screenwriters had failed at: provide an Indiana Jones sequel that would satisfy the three principals -- George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Harrison Ford. The three confirmed on Monday that they plan to begin filming Koepp's script -- a title was not disclosed -- for the fourth Indiana Jones film in June, with a May 2008 target for worldwide release. The last Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, was released by Paramount in 1989. Spielberg told reporters, "We feel that the script was well worth the wait. We hope it delivers everything you'd expect from our history with Indiana Jones. ... George, Harrison and I are all very excited."
I just hope they don't [composite word including 'f*ck'] it up...

I know that they have to say it - but I think it would be cool if somone actually said "The movie is gonna be fantastic. Not as fantastic as Movie X, but pretty close".
Can't believe I'm still here.

Oh dear... George Lucas going back and shooting new films of a once classic trilogy... hmmm... now where have i heard that before...spiderfrommars wrote: I just hope they don't **** it up...
So who wants to wager that Harrison has his first heart attack during this film?
I mean the guy has to be in his late 50s, early 60's.
He better not try to pull that "running away from an explosion" ****. May cost him big.

"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Because Spielberg and Ford are there to check him, I don't think this one will drift into Prequel territory.
I don't know how this movie is going to be better than Last Crusade, though. That movie rocks.

Thats my fave movie ever.Shanti418 wrote: I don't know how this movie is going to be better than Last Crusade, though. That movie rocks.
He's tough as old boots. He looked pretty fit in Firewall, his last film.Yaya wrote:So who wants to wager that Harrison has his first heart attack during this film?

Especially as there's already been the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.Shanti418 wrote:I don't think this one will drift into Prequel territory.
He's done a fair few action films in his time. I think he knows by now that the correct way to survive an explosion is not to run away, but to jump forwards in a fashion resembling a diving start for an Olympic swimming event.Yaya wrote:He better not try to pull that "running away from an explosion" ****. He was born July 1942. Which makes him a venerable 65 this year.Yaya wrote: I mean the guy has to be in his late 50s, early 60's
