Heroes

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Anyone else watching this show?

I find it to be like watching a live action comic book.

Sometimes I can predict where the show is going... okay, most of the time, but it's still cool. I think slightly less cool to those of us who have been reading X-Men for the last twenty years.

My brother thinks it's as good as Lost. And I love Lost.

Going to get the season on DVD and watch it.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

i've not seen it yet i have to admit, although it caught my attention recently when i heard that Chris Eccleston will be joining the cast soon apparently...

of course, he'll probably quite 12 episodes later, but hey... i'm not bitter.

Possibly due to a one-off guest appearance by Robert Carlisle? ;)

I have just finished season 1 on DVD.

That was great.

Okay, so it's derivitive of every comics story ever, but so what? X-Men has been rehashing and repeating itself for ages anyway. The Incredibles ripped off everything ever but managed to be awesome, by doing its job well, and by being fun.

And so was that. Kept me guessing right to the end. So many quality characters. Great casting (Ali Larter! Forrest off Buffy! Weiss from Alias! Ecclescake playing a Shouty Northerner! Clea Duvall! The office bloke off of season 3 of 24!). No stupid superhero names or costumes. A willingness to take the piss out of itself.

Hiro is awesome.
Haydn is gorgeous. So's Ali Larter. I'd do Jessica. It'd be worth getting killed.
Sayid was quality in it, too.

Roll on season 2, bitch.
Grrr. Argh.

We so need a spoilers topic to discuss this properly.

Oh, and used most of the weekend to watch the whole of season 1 too.

I've only seen fifteen minutes of the first episode, but I already hate Micah.
May he die a fiery death.

The season one finale was a let down. Boring as hell IMO.

And there's not any characters that I really like (I dislike Micah, Niki abloobloblooo and Clair though).
But the story was interesting enough to keep me glued to the telly.

Were we watching the same show? :o

It was somewhat predictable IMHO, but I didn't find it boring at all!

I enjoyed the finale... wasn't quite what I expected, but it was good fun.

Great stuff. Though I miss Nikki (well, actually I miss Jessica, but either way...)

Though I think maybe Noah didn't get the memo about what happened at the end of season 1...

Awful. Just awful.

EDIT: Awful might be a bit too harsh, but episode three was really crappy.
