First of all: Niki. I'm tired of her ABLOOBLBOOOO. She cries 90% of her screen time.
We get it! She's insecure.

Secondly: the stupid cow named Clair. "We are in super secret hiding 'cause people wanna kill us. Let's see here, what am I gonna do? I know! I'll cut of my toe, in my ******* living room."
Isn't she supposed to be smart and all? And isn't there a better way to advance the plot?

Thirdly: the romance between flying guy and Clair. It made me cringe.

Fourth: Peter's story. I don't even know where to start.

These are some of the reasons I don't like season two thus far. Every show has its run of average episodes though (like Lost), so hopefully it'll pick up.

If she can't do stuff in the safety and security of her own home... it's a good job that all she was doing was cutting her toe off and not doing anything else :eh?:

Bollocks to you all, I'm really enjoying season 2.

The series works best in large doses, so the gaps between episodes doesn't help, but there's enough going on to hold my interest. It's fun lightweight entertainment. So long as it entertains me and holds my interest for 40odd minutes, I'm happy. Which it's what it's doing.

Niki was barely even in the episode. And she's no way as annoying as Maya, who's had essentially the exact same appearance for three episodes on the trot.

It's not ******* Apocalypse Now or the Godfather. It's a comic on tv. Just see where it goes.
Grrr. Argh.

Takezo Kensei is definitely a very cool new character, didn't actually know that actor was american till I just googled him.

Very good accent.

Hiro, as always, is excellent value.

How long before he's in films I wonder.

Claire is still fit.

And Sylar's back, and still a complete ****!

How is that not good?

I'm loving it. Sylar was tops. Rewatching episode 1, the guy who bumps into Ando as he's taking the newspaper to Sulu, is that a certain beardy ex-time lord?
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I didn't quite get the dilemma in the season 1 finale. If Clare shot Peter, couldn't he just regenerate?

Enjoying Season 2 so far. Getting used to new characters is always a ballache, but the 'cursed' idea is a good one in a series that could easily run out of them (we have 2 flyers, and 2 self-generators now).

Glad Nathan wasn't dead, I like him. (see cool 80s vampire flick Near Dark for more from that actor).

Nicki is always, reliably, the most boring storyline.

Peter and Hiro are my fave characters.

Owes a lot to Lost doesn't it? And are we gonna work through the whole of the original Enterprise crew, now that Nichelle Nichols is the second to turn up? (I also notice the Sylar actor is due to play Spock in the new prequel).

Been a while since I've seen it... but iirc, my thought was "if she shoots him, he'll just lose what control he's got"

I liked Nikki's storyline in season 1. Mostly because Jessica's awesome and compensates. It's the whole point - Jess is absolutely everything that Nikki represses. One has no strength, the other is nothing but.

Anywho, she was barely in the ep... so I think criticism on the one appearance this season is a bit harsh. Especially as we don't know where it's going in the grand scheme.

Wasn't it that if she shoots him where he got stabbed by the glass, he'll die (and therefore not explode), and then they've just got to stop the bullet being removed to stop him from regenerating.

Like how Claire stayed dead until the coroner removed the twig from her brain, and Peter stayed dead until Claire removed the glass from his.

Can't guarantee the bullet would kill him straight away though, can they?

After all, guns don't kill people - blood loss trauma does. =-o

I was never really sure whether Jess/Nikki even counted as having a superpower - sure she has a split personality and she's freakishly strong, but that's nothing to distinguish her from, say, Nadine in Twin Peaks.

But she's got the tattoo! :o

No, seriously, fair point. I often thought it myself. I think the superhuman strength is the power, and the split personality is her way of dealing with it.

Otherwise, when Peter absorbed it, he would have gone a bit schizo.

Hmm. Having not seen any of season 2 as of yet, just wondering - have Peter and Nathan been seen together since the explosion?

Seems to me that if the Jess/Nikki thing was a superpower, that the superpower would be a Jekyll&Hyde thing, seeing as Jess has the tattoo and Nikki doesn't.

Might've made an interesting plot twist to have had Nathan die in the explosion, but due to Peter having absorbed Nikki's power, Nathan lives on as Peter's alter ego.

They've not been seen together, no.

Though part of that is due to being on separate continents, which sort of nukes your theory. :(

I'm still slightly baffled as to why Nathan's reflection was so hideously disfigured/burnt when he himself wasn't...

I think his mom does glamours, and she's preventing everyone from seeing his disfigurement. That's my theory, anyway.

My own pet peeve about the end of S1 is why did Pete need Nathan to fly him into the sky at all, when he can fly unaided anyway?

Probably because he'd lost control of his powers and was too panicing about trying to control the nuclear reaction that he couldn't use any of his other powers? *cough*plot*cough* ;)

I would've thought that, as shown in the first few episodes, Pete can fly, but can fly a lot better when assisted and/or in close proximity to Nathan.

And time was of the essence.

I'd assumed Peter didn't fly off because he was too busy panicking.

It's plausible that Nathan flew him up a bit, then Peter launched himself the rest of the way... would explain how Nate survived.

Fractured psyche guilt thing?

I'm more concerned about why Nathan isn't off doing Senator-type stuff.

And how awesome was Sylar in ep 4?

Judging by the fact that his seperated from his wife, not allowed to see his kids and drinking heavily, i'm guessing something's gone wrong with his career in the months between season 1 and season 2...

Nailed it.

She's The Incredible Hulk.

Oh, and Kristen Bell joining the cast = best thing ever. I now am no longer bothered about anything else being sub par. That opening scene felt like we were back in Neptune again.

Anyone else thinks judging by episode 6. that Hiro is not back to the future because he's going to end up BECOMING Takeso Kensei? A nice time paradox that's make...

I'm pretty much baffled by the recurring visions Nathan has seeing himself burnt in the mirrors... Weird.

And since it's now shown that some of the "Heroes" ancestors had the same powers their offspring had, only more perfected, I now wonder what power Sulu had... Guess we'll never know.

Well, I just watched episode #7 and guess I hit the spot with that theory... :)

Interesting though, this also foreshadows that even Claire's regenerative abilities have their limits.

Niki wasn't so annoying now, I guess it's even explainable why he fell for the mind tricks, a sane person would have questioned seeing her dead husband appear but then, Niki already has a split personality...

I'm really enjoying season 2, especially how more and more are revelead about the "first" group of heroes, including Adam who must be a pretty powerful entity then.

I liked episode seven. I thought they were back on track - but then they [composite word including 'f*ck'] it all up with episode eight.

This show has so much potential! This crappy nonsense is making me all sad.

What was wrong with episode 8?

I quite liked it (not as good as 7 though) and it filled in a lot of the blanks too.
