Transformers in Simpsons again (sort of)

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

In the current season (18.) episode 5., G I D'oh, there was some TF reference...

During the Army's recruitment commercial, a robot knight pulls a sword from a stone, then transforms into an apache helicopter - while the sword transforms into the pilot... (Targetmaster reference? :eek:) Then it proceeds to gun down (in FPS stlye) nazis, Osama, Jason and a 'deadly hurricane'.


Some good lines too when the Army recruits in the school... :)

Army recruiter:"What if there was a violent video game, that you could play for free... plus, it's real life and not a game at all!" (remember those interviews from Fahrenheit 911 with the tank crews?)

or when Marge is panicked when he hears Bart has enlisted and tells Homer...

Homer: "Oh, big deal. By the time Bart's 18, we're gonna control the world. (thinks) We're China, right?"

or this one (sooo true)

Bart: "Oh, even the army has Humm-Vees now!" :)

Damn, that sounds hillariously funny. Maybe I should start watching the Simpsons again. "We're China, right?" :lol: Priceless.

They're getting better... season 17 was kinda boring, but so far all of season 18 (save the halloween one, that was weak) were pretty funny. I mostly download them - they air Simpsons in Hungary, but the jokes are sometimes lost in translation.
