or at least made me smirk quite a bit.

But it's an album they didn't want to do isn't it? No wonder it's only half arsed. Still, it's got the six or so Oasis songs I like on it so that'll be a purchase when it goes in sales.

Yeah, but Noel wasn't willing to let them do it on their own in case they ****** it up.
So he's naturally stepped in and bollocksed it up for them.
What's so difficult about doing a chronological singles collection? I mean really? With an extra disc of selected B-Sides?
Still, at least it looks better than Forever Delayed...

Then why even make a Greatest Hits album? We can just dig out our Definitely Maybe album. I think I must have it lying around somewhere. But the most telling statistic is that 14 of the 18 tracks were released in 1994 or 1995. In other words, Gallagher seems to be admitting what many of us believed: that his band - and his songs - peaked over a decade ago.
"Yeah, of course," he shrugs. "We're talking about the best of Oasis here. If you stop the man in the street and ask 'What's Oasis's best album?', a few might say Don't Believe the Truth, which is great, but the squares will say Morning Glory and the cool people will say Definitely Maybe. That album should just be called the Best of Oasis."

I like Don't Look Back In Anger (mainly for Steed in the video) and the B&W one mainly. Oh, and the one that sounds like a Beatles song... which was that again?

The one that doesn't sound exactly like a Bonzo Dog Doo Dah song?inflatable dalek wrote:I like Don't Look Back In Anger (mainly for Steed in the video) and the B&W one mainly. Oh, and the one that sounds like a Beatles song... which was that again?
I go through periods of hating Oasis and loving them and then hating them again. I think it's a case of Belle & Sebastian syndrome though, where I hate their fans a lot more than the band itself.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Yeah, I like Morning Glory the best as well. Don't Look Back in Anger is still tops.

What is it about Belle & Sebastian that turns even nice people into snobs?Metal Vendetta wrote:The one that doesn't sound exactly like a Bonzo Dog Doo Dah song?inflatable dalek wrote:I like Don't Look Back In Anger (mainly for Steed in the video) and the B&W one mainly. I could never stand Oasis, except for Don't Look Back In Anger. Guess I'm into all that indie ****.
