Not causing a war or anything life-threatening, but still.
Went to the hairdresser this weekend, which I do twice a year since my hair is long and in good shape. I used to have wavy and pretty hair. Tought I'd try something new, with a fringe and a bit more layered, and now I look horrible!
The hairdresser did exactly as I asked, but then my hair has a mind of it's own and now I have one of those bad 80s haircuts with layers that is only worn by 50+ year old women.
Managed to make it look slightly okay by putting it up with pins, ended up looking like a boy. A cute boy, but still.
Not sure how I will tell my boyfriend this (he's out of the country) or if I just surprise him when I see him in three days.
This is one of the stupidest things I have ever done!
Hope everyone else is having a fun week though.

Shave it all off.Eline wrote:Not sure how I will tell my boyfriend this (he's out of the country) or if I just surprise him when I see him in three days.
I keep considering having my hair blonded. But when it's short it looks like there's highlights in it anyway, so I end up not bothering.
Grrr. Argh.

I am seriously considering cutting it all short but now I'm scared that it will be even worse. But I guess that's what happens when you take a risk. Last time it worked out fine.
Lucky for me, the boy-look is very fashionable this winter.

Give some sort of unclear warning, like "don't be shocked when you'll see me". If you're lucky he's so worried that it's actually something really bad and a possibly bad haircut (you can't know yet what he'll think of it) is a relief.Eline wrote:Not sure how I will tell my boyfriend this (he's out of the country) or if I just surprise him when I see him in three days.

And be sure to have a pillow stuffed up your top when you do see him. Just to doubly scare the life out of him.Osku wrote:Give some sort of unclear warning, like "don't be shocked when you'll see me". I am unfortunately too nice to scare him like that. But the pillow would be a good distraction!

I wish I'd taken more risks when I had hair. I doubt being able to grow it long enough to tie to the rear belt-hoop of my jeans or having the envy of my sisters over how it would always do what I wanted it to really counts.Brendocon wrote:Shave it all off.
Nowadays it's all #0.
No doubt, this time will be no exception.Eline wrote:I am seriously considering cutting it all short but now I'm scared that it will be even worse. But I guess that's what happens when you take a risk. Last time it worked out fine.
