I signed up to Hotmail in the years prior to the MSN takeover. It didn't need a flashy interface then.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:anyone seen what old Gates did with Hotmail - it now takes even longer to open! due to flashy interface...
Not that I log in using a flashy interface now, must be a different redirection to you, Impy.

Maybe you should try using a real browser[/Karl]
But, seriously, are the bells and whistles really worth the extra waiting time?
If it was me, for example, I'd soon get tired of having to wait a long time for something I wasn't even interested in to load so I could move on to the next bit of what I wanted to do. I might even go so far as to root out what it was that was causing the slowness and prevent it from even trying to load, thereby reducing my waiting time.

Gmail at home seems ok, at work it is ****.
I'm getting emails 6+ hours late.
I'm getting emails with replies that I should have in my inbox that turn up days later.
Worst, I continued to drag an argument 4 hours after I had been told 'never to speak to me again' which rather soured one of my closest friendships.

trust me Rebis - I dont use Explorer - its just when I click my MSM mail icon it opens in EP.. anoying.
Well all the bells and whistles have advatages, and I can see that, currently it takes time to open but i belive its due to EP being utter crap and ill test it in Firefox .my normal browser.
to be honest I havent tried just going to hotmail via my browser to see ifits different yet in loading times.
I guess my best comparison of the new hotmail would be Outlook but in your browser with better styling and stuff.
