Ill be on live Tv talking about Tfs

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Ill be on live Tv talking about Tfs

Post by The Last Autobot » Sun Aug 06, 2006 5:15 am

Yes, On wednesday at 9am I will be with some folks (different collectors: One of SW, one of Marvel toys, One of Superman, One who makes customs and one owner of a shop) in a live discussion on tv about collections.

I will talk evidently of Tfs, and it will be the chance to promote the Transformers Peru site and club by national Tv.

Ill tape it and then youtube it (or as it would be said :) )

Im excited!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Good luck! I'm looking forward to seeing it. I do hope you'll avoid any overt "nerding" though. Seeing TF fans looking like rejects from Freaks and Geeks wears thin after a little while.

Remember to namecheck Transfans or Emus, else Besty will have to ban you. :(

It's only logical.

They ve told me I can take a few tfs to the set (every collector will take different stuff) so right now Im picking my crew (12 tfs aprox). I will select important tfs representing different series/times.

Later today I ll determine if I carry a poster with the TfsPeru site just in case.

So. What should I do/dont? What do you think?

Most probably Ill mention this site also :)

A few suggestions:

Do NOT wear a Transformers shirt. You're the guy talking about Transformers on television, you're obviously a fan. You don't need to hammer the point across.

DO bring characters that people outside of the hardcore internet community will recognize. That means your Optimus Primes, you Starscreams, and your Bumblebees. Megatron as anything but a gun will provoke a gut "NOT LIKE WHEN I WAS A KID" response from viewers. If you've got Devastator, bring that one. Everyone remembers Devastator.

Wait, wait, wait. This isn't going to be one of those shows where you'll be half-naked and having a smoke on air, is it?

Awesomeness in a can!! Goood luck TLA, and remember to bring something like 20th Anniversary Prime if you've got him, and maybe something like Tigerhawk from Beast Wars, something that will make the other toys look puny! ;)

Today Ive talked in person with the production girl and she wants me to take as many tfs as I can.

So Ill will go with 50. Ill try to take with me the more visually attractive and the bigger ones. Ill have a table for me so I can display them.

Ill also take a couple of books (Genesis, Generations, complete G1 Manga) and comics (most probably G1 Issue 50, 80; G2 1, 5, 12; BW 1 and Titan TPBs).

One question though. Do you think I should take either BM Nightscream and BM Supreme Cheetor or that would scare potential collectors?

I'd leave Beast Wars out of it entirely. It'll scare off the old schoolers.

Only the ones dumb enough to forget all the animals in the first series.

Transmetals from BW would probably work. I'd opt for one of the TM2 Dragons, personally.

In answer to the question, though, I'd "forget to bring" Nightscream or Supreme Cheetor, on the grounds that they're rubbish. :(

RiD Prime? The cab robot, for stylistic familiarity. :)
Grrr. Argh.

Oh yeah, RiD Prime's a given. Might even want to take RiD UM if you have 'em.

Hope all goes/went well.

All the advice above is spot on. I think Dinobots and Insecticons along with some of the rareer "I wants" from when u were a kid too, Omegasupreme, Shockwave, etc.

Dev a def, Prime without sayin and RID Prime Genious (NIce Figure)

Galaxy Op would be cool I think too, show an evolution

Anyway have fun and can't wait to see this 8)
