If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Online or distance learning courses
Post

No, this is not spam.
I am looking for something new to learn, and thought an online or distance-learning course would be easier to do next to a full-time job.
And I'm looking at something in English: either British or American. Probably something marketing-related.
So, my question is: do you know any schools/institutes that offer these courses, and have a GOOD reputation? So that your newly learnt skills actually get acknowledged around the world. And preferably something where I do not have to fly to Texas to do an exam (though I can fly to the UK if necessary).
Thanks in advance!

the Open University in the uk has a pretty good rep for distance learning (less ure in terms of marketing etc) - no idea how accessable to non UKers they are but worth a look.

Thanks!
Looks interesting. They do charge twice as much for foreigners though, but I'll go and see if they have nice courses.

Only twice as much? While looking for a university to get my Masters at they charged 4 times as much if you were out of the
state. If you were out of the country it was even higher!
