oh i do like to be beside the seaside...

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

or rather, i will next weekend!
for the first time in what, 4 years(?! :() I'm stepping foot outside of london in a purely lesiurely reason...
now, i know i'm really not pushing the boat out very far, but budget is, as always, rather tight, so i'm going to Southend on Sea... where i went every year with my parents when i was a nipper...
just need to escape london for a few days and enjoy a bit of downtime. things have all been a bit hectic for me of late and i need a change of pace...
i've made sure that where i'm staying has a TV so i can catch the last ep of Doctor Who tho! ;)

Why am i telling you all this? I dunno, but i'm (quite sadly) really excited about it! :D

It sounds great to me. I miss the ocean greatly in this intermountain West.

looks nice! Hope you have a great time :)

I was at the seaside this weekend, watching the sun set.

Everyone needs a holiday once in a while. And you don't have to go far or do something expensive to have a good time.

Used to go to Cornwall every year with the family. went there a year or two back. It was different. I'm not saying it was better or worse, it was just different.

I'm sure Southend on Sea will be every bit as good as it was, just be warned that it won't be the same!

You will live in the Transfans Group Home For The Elderly like the rest of us and you will like it :o

It'll be fun! Tuesdays will be "Prevention of Arthritis" day and the activity will be transforming Alternators Smokescreen. We will also eat lots of mashed potatoes, or anything that can be put in a food processor and sucked through a straw and take hourly naps, if we remember.

You're the one who suggested it*. Don't deny it!

* I am, of course, lying. But you know it's in the works!
