I like music. How 'bout you?

Oh... PWEI is Pop Will Eat Itself. I've heard of them. Duh. How did I not get that?

I've been listening to Interpol and the Frames lately. I find Interpol gets a bit old after repeated play... but dear lord, the Frames just blow me away. I would love to see them live. They're awesome. Like an Irish version of Coldplay that is actually ten times better than Coldplay.

After much discussion, Missus Sprunk and I have come to the conclusion that we must recover from our last five financial emergencies before I drive six hundred miles to see Radiohead. Sigh...

What's everyone listening to?

Ozzy Osbourne. Lots of Ozzy. I think I may spend the evening listening to his entire studio catalogue from beginning to end.

In fact, I think I'll set that up now.

Would you believe it? After all the music threads on Transfans, I started wondering what the heck I was missing out on, so I started figuring what songs I heard in commercials and soundtracks on TV, and came to the conclusion that...

I like Hair Metal and Disco. :)

Kenny Loggins and Donna Summer are my current fancies.

I've also been checking out some of the fantastic lass Mira Craigs stuff, and she has a couple of good songs.

I just listened to Blizzard of Ozz from start to finish and am starting on Bark at the Moon. So far, so good.

New Pearl Jam and RHCP, and a duo called Cherry Bikini. Highly amusing. If you like Peaches, you'll love Cherry Bikini.

Finished Bark at the Moon and am currently working my way through Ultimate Sin. A call from my girlfriend sort of killed the end of Bark and most of Sin, but I don't think I'm going to go back and replay them. Up next: No Rest for the Wicked.

I was just playing Bark at the Moon on Guitar Heroes the other day.

That game is friggin' sweeeet.

I've now started on Ozzmosis. Now I just need to get through Down to Earth, plus his two singles Back on Earth and Walk on Water.

So...much...Ozzy...

I do mostly rock, from Pink Floyd to Bon Jovi to Van Halen to Judas Priest. Bootlegs and going to live gigs are cool, too.

Thanks! Downloading now!

I dig your new signature. I flew to New York to see GNR play the Hammerstein Ballroom a few weeks ago. I wound up crushed up against the stage, but it may have been the most amazing concert experience I've ever had.

G'n'F'n'R!

Man, "Don't Cry" had to be the greatest song ever when I was eleven. I listened to it over and over again... only I just had the alternate lyrics version.

I did the same thing you're doing with Ozzy a while ago, Smooth, only it was with Radiohead. Around the middle of Amnesiac the world starts looking like it hides tiny angry people.

GN'R are now touring in the Europe and I saw them on Thursday. Superb. I'll never call this incarnation "Axl and some new guys" again. As far as I'm concerned they're GN'R now. :) New songs that they played weren't bad, so the new album (if it ever comes out) might be cool, too.

And they were supported by Sebastian Bach, whom I badly wanted to see live, too. He might not have the rest of Skid Row behind him anymore, but he's as great as he was fifteen years ago, just like Axl. The only shame was that SB played only 40 minutes or so.

This week I have mostly been listening to NWA, The Cure, QotSA, Tom Petty, that band with him out of the White Stripes in, Dylan, Tom Waits and a load of bootie mash-up/mix things, ta for asking. :)

The Raconteurs. Meaning a person who tells anecdotes in a skillful or amusing way. DAMN that's a good band name.

I think I like Jack White better without bass and second guitar. I've only sampled the Rs on iTunes, but that is my opinion.

The album starts well and then fluctuates a bit, I reckon. But I'm finding it slightly more interesting than whatever the latest dreary nu-indie band it's fashionable to jeff all over this week is.

I haven't listened to the Delays or Interpol in a while, like 'em both.

Cherry Bikini?

That's right, Cherry Bikini

Who doesn't love a girl singing,
F*** me from the back
F*** me from the front
Finger in my ass
C*** in my c***
Don't make me beg
I'm already wet
Here against the wall
It's better than the bed

GREAT to stick on your iPod when you're going to the gym. lol

As far as the Raconteurs, yeah, I like the White Stripes better, but who doesn't want to hear what he can/could do with a full band?

Due to a really ****** weekend/some personal ruminations I'm currently [and knowingly] wallowing in confusion, anger and self-pity so there's a lot of Korn and Staind playing right now interspersed with the usual Neil Young, Crimea, Hot Puppies, Trews and Tea Party. :)

I just really, really want to be in a mood. It's helping me resolve to never talk to a few people ever again.

I'm thinking I need to pick up something new... will probably look at the new Chili Peppers next weekend, I've been wanting to purchase it for awhile.

I've been stubbornly avoiding Interpol as it's become one of those bands that trendy snobbish types listen to around here. And I hate snobbish trendy types... though a part of me is arguing the point that that is a really ****** reason for avoiding a band...

The Frames sound interesting... I'm not big on Coldplay [minus a couple of songs] but still.

At the risk of sounding like a complete moron.... THE FRAMES ARE AMAZING! YOU WILL LOVE THEM! YOU MUST LISTEN! AHHHH THE PAIN!

I got Stadium Arcadium as well. I liked it, but I haven't gone back to listen to it. My favorite of the Peppers' stuff was the live album at Hyde Park.

And I heard about Interpol when I tried out for a music-snob type band that looked like it was populated by male models. ha. Sade, you see the heart of the matter.

Wow, once you guys change your name to something beginning with 'The', pick a previous band to rip off (but always talk about in interviews so no-one can accuse you of ripping them off), get your record company to cook up a dodgy backstory and pretend to support internet distribution, you'll be big stars! Enjoy those 17 and three-quarters days of international fame! :D

Actually, considering I was put onto Interpol by a fashionista Pretentious Meeja Person, there could well be something to that theory...

Eh... it just seems to be a running theme. There's plenty of people who aren't that listen to the band [many of the ones I know of being here, strangely enough...] but in the everyday... it just seems to work out that way, I don't know why. I don't like it. :( B'dah well. :p

It's totally Muse. The lead guitar/idea-guy worships that. I blame it on the fact that he's British.

(That's right, you Brits. I mocked you. Whatchoo gonna do?)

I have a feeling you're referring to an actual band, KM, and I don't know who this intimation is. (But I sincerely hope it's Muse.)

(I like Muse. It's just that they, and their home island, seem like easy targets at the moment. Prolly cuz it's 3 AM here.)

I'm currently listening to The Strokes, Psychic Surgeon and Babyshambles.

I am always listening to Queen.
Can't believe I'm still here.
