If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

As sad as it sounds...
Yessss. Because there's so many things I run into that I wish I could save/keep around to reference but forget later-things people have said, fun **** I've seen, stuff that I think are quite brilliant but forget to look into later on and the like.
I'd love to be able to remember word-for word the things people have said. I know I've missed so many lovely quoteworthy things said simply because I've forgotten them before I had time to type them up. And the random thoughts, especially when I'm out and about. I always mean to blog at least a couple of them but it never happens as it's usually one of those "in the moment" type of things that you forget or can't get the proper "feel" of in your head later on when they
can be written down.
This random train of thought has made it blatantly obvious that I spend way too much time playing with my pooter.

But... so much info, right there at your fingertips. Gods I love Firefox. And Google.
I should carry a notepad!

They say... that when you die... all of these things flash before your eyes, and you get this greatest cuts from your life, the moments worth anything.
I guess it's the best you can hope for... Having a near-death experience.
Carry around a camera!

the very picture of a guy just after he's said something funny will make you remember it. I think?

I'm looking into getting myself a decent digital camera... if I could I'd go back to school for Photography. Was one of the things I originally went in for before I found out I couldn't afford it.

There's times I wish I had a camera phone as well. I've seen for myself a Muslim-owned food stall with Bismillah on the signboard, it's the sort of thing that makes internet legend. And during that unfortunate earthquake in Indonesia there's still funny stuff to be found - bags of cement are labeled in the Indonesian word for cement, which is really a butchering of the English word 'cement' - only they somehow managed to butcher it into 'Semen.'

"They" have obviously never died.
I was in IKEA a few months back helping my sister buy some office furniture for her house, and between the showroom and the warehouse they have 2 ways of moving, a lift, or a travelator. I said it at the time, but you just know that after hours those employees are going to play Gladiators. Make a good comedy sketch, if someone ever wrote it.

i suspect if our lives eevr do falsh before our eyes it will become apparent that we have wasted far too much of it reading posts by Predabot.
i'm quite glad some things aren't documented to be honest, some stuff i would rather flip over.

I'd blame Elan, but that's an insult to Elan.

I ain't much for keeping photos. If I want to draw from my past experiences I'll just remember it. I'm a massive day dreamer and often think of things that I've done to cheer me up.
Like the one day it rained for the six months I lived in Spain, we all started dancing out in the street. Now whenever it rains I use that experience to cheer me up.
No photos of deceased family members, don't need 'em, all the memories are there for me whenever I need them.
So if the life flashing before your eyes thing is true, I'm slowly dying and getting a slow stream of my memories passed at me constantly
