So, what do you guys prefer: that he invents the web shooters (don't know what they are called), or that the whole thing is biological?

Do people still wear y-front underwear? I'm reading Ultimate Spider-Man and Peter is hanging up-side-down in his y-front.
I haven't seen a pair of y-front IRL for over 15 years.

I think it depends. Because Spidey has so many stories, at least 4 comics a month the mechinical web shooters serve a purpose of putting limits and therefore more possibility of problems can crop up therefore adding more variations to storielines even if they are small.

As the films will only adapt the odd story here and there of Spidey then it's fine not to waste time with mechinical webshooters.
