X-Men: The Last Stand (Thoughts and GIANT MEGA SPOILERS!)

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

yeah, i kept expecting that, although given the alternate explanation for the Pheonix maybe it makes more sense that one didn't.

Effects really were off the scale in this flick, i saw MI3 last night and its nowhere near the same league.

Actually one bit that got on my wick a bit was when Prof X was blaming Wolverine - he didn't do anything...

..besides try and stick one up her, which i think we can all forgive.

Yeah.

Chuck: "What did you do?!"
Wolvie: "Uhm... happened to be there when she woke up and decided she wanted a lay? Don't look at me, we wouldn't be in this sitch if you hadn't raped her mind, Mr Never Abuse Your Powers..."

:(
Grrr. Argh.

Jean contained a lot of her power when seeing Wolverine (And also his healing factor obviously helped him) to let him approach that distance to her.

I guess Cyclops saw her in her period or she had waaaaaaaay to deep hard feelings for him to obliterate him.

I would have preferred Nightcrawler in the movie than the Angel with the charisma of a stone that we saw.

Did anyone actually see Cyclops go down?

I wouldn't bet on him being permanently dead. This is a comic book, after all.

And the "Jean disintegrated the cure needles" thing works for me.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Maybe later the avengers will find him in a cocoon deep in the lake and with a multicolor outfit.

She would have oblitereated 'the cure' in his hand.
I agree. Added to the fact with Jean throwing virtually everything around it would be more or less impossible to even fin a needle and time was off the essence.

I also think that there is a possibility that after everything she had done, she had killed her lover and father figure afterall, she actually wanted to die.

Totally. Best I've seen in a while. The fight at the end was the best by far in the series.

Great movie! :D Now after seeing it only an hour or so ago I want to scream out "Fantastic movie!" but then I think about it and a the nitpicks sink in.

Too bad that they had to go and kill off Cyclops.. :( But I suspect it was because Marsten had too much of a busy schedule what with that other Superhero-movie he's doing...

Too bad about Xavier too, but I always expected that his mind would survive the destruction of his body, wich since I had been told by the net to stay and watch after the credits, it did. ( haha, I was the only one that did that. :D )

Towards the end there, there was indeed a few lines that was a bit too obvious, you knew they were coming, but the actors did an overall very good job.

All in all, the best movie I've seen so far this year, that is to my tastes. :)

Also of note: Patrick Stewart plays the bearded, disabled man on life support in the coda.
