Various fascinating legal and moral questions were thrown up, I am sure, by the case of the transsexual who sued for official paternity rights. This poor fellow has just lost his appeal court battle to be declared the official father of a child born by artificial insemination during his marriage. His ex-wife (having spent 17 years unaware that she was married to an original-born female who was having sex with her using a homemade artificial penis) is now free to invite her current husband to adopt the child.

The mind boggles beyond its normal boggling parameters....how could you be married to someone for 17 years and not notice that their penis was a homemade fake?

Surely there would be other factors that might ring bells though - the lack of facial hair, the breasts, menstruation, that smell that girls have...How could anyone fail to spot the real gender of their spouse?

Why can't women just dress like men for the reasons they used to back in Brighton* in the '20s: To disguise the fact that they were having homosexual relationships with women who were aware they were women!

*Watched it on a programme about the Brighton Grand a few weeks back. Between the wars, this army colonel would go there with his wife, only it turned out he was a she. He, sorry, she was eventually found out, but only after getting nicked after being indicted for bankruptcy.

Most other people went there to be proven unfaithful to their spouses in order to get a quick divorce!

I guess some relationships are all sex is for making babies and you sleep in seperate beds etc...

Sheltered upbringing? Never seen a real one? Assumed that it was real because she'd never seen any evidence that would cause her to think otherwise?

Which of course leads us to an even more frightening notion... she'd had a life without porn...
