If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Good ol' Monster-rock...
Not that bad I must say.
Let's talk about Britains contribution... >_< Anybody except me disgusted that he's got 16-year old go-go girls?
Those that are not, grab your coats.
Oh, says here they're all over 18...

The British entry was pants and the first time I saw the video, I was disturbed. The second time I had to feel sorry for the guy, his best time was school (Wasted school years by the sounds of it too) and he's so sad he had to right a song about it. I picture Rimmer styled L on his head when ever I hear that song now.
BTW Hi everybody

Hi Aux!
It's time to count the votes in the Eurovision now btw.
Mayhaps I should have a look at the 4000 years of greek music act they're doing meanwhile, but... nah.

Hard. Rock... HALLELUJAH.
I listen to a swedish radio station (that is quite "crazy"), and they friggin love that song.
They invited Lordi to the studio and had a lengthy interview with them
They also interviewed random people on the streets of Finland, asking "What do you think about Lordi?"
Some old lady said "I think they are ugly"
Can't believe I'm still here.

Holy moley...!
Finland is in the lead!
But they only gave us 7 points... cheap bastards...
I gotta say, I never thought monster-rock would be this popular, but all power to the fans I guess.
EDIT: Damn... initially we could hope for a 2'nd or 3'rd place, but now we're gonna get lucky if we get into top 5.

Probably the best Eurovision in my lifetime. Except that Germany deserved to do better.

Cool!
For few years I've been saying that we should send Vader to Eurovision. I doubt they'd ever win it, but at least it would be hilarious.

Vader is far to extreme to win
I wonder how many viewers that would die of heart attack when Vader started playing.
Can't believe I'm still here.

Too many countries voting. They need to change that, too much rigging.
Finland deserved to win, but look at the rest of the top ten. Coincidence that no-one's voting for the larger nations?

What happened to the semi-finals system they were meant to be using?
Perhaps they need to break down the competition into several heats, or have something similar the the World Cup to reduce the number of finalists?

Semi-final was held on Thursday, our band didn't go through, among others.

The swedish contender, Carola, has said lovely things like "There is a cure for homosexuality".

It's a prescription drug being traded under the brand name Boyfriends, isn't it?
I didn't watch any of it this year, but last year, it all sounded warbled due to the fact that I was shaving my head during it.
