My god. What an idiot
He pulled on a Barcelona sweater and posed for a newspaper.
Wow. Congratulations!
He has now been replaced with another ref.
So... what about tonights game?
I have faith in Barcelona, they'll win. 2 - 1!
Also: I still can't believe how popular Henrik Larsson, a 34 year old swede, has become in Barcelona.
Did you see his last league game with Barcelona?
The crowd (about 90 - 100.000 people) sang "Laaaaaarsson! Laaaaaarsson!" while the team - Deco, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, etc - threw him in the air.
I got tears in my eyes when I saw it.

Re: The Champ. League ref.
Awesome. Larsson was worshipped round my way when he played for Celtic...he still is, kinda. A Swedish guy going into a Celtic pub and getting the blokes in there talking about Henrik is probably going to end up not having to buy a drink for the rest of the night.Obfleur wrote:Also: I still can't believe how popular Henrik Larsson, a 34 year old swede, has become in Barcelona.

Re: The Champ. League ref.
My girlfriend was in Scotland last year - and people went nuts when she said she was from Sweden.KingMob wrote: Awesome. "So where are you from?"
"I'm from Sweden. "
"Larsson?! Larsson!! "
Coolness
sidestreaker: I'm glad he left Feyenoord

then....bergkamp comes on and scores a hatrick 3-4
How will tonights game turn out?
"Lets have a tight defense and just wait".
"Lets attack like we're crazy mofos and entertain people!"
Or "We're Arsenal and we're gonna wait for Barca to attack, then counterattack!"
Can't believe I'm still here.

Dunno if Ruud would come to us, although I have heard whispers about him...
Heard that Defoe is going. If we get Ruud in for him I would probably be gutted for about 2 seconds then piss myself with glee!
Berbatov is a great signing for us though. I think we could really challenge top 4 next season.
IF Terry H leaves the goonscum, we could bump them out for starters.
Question I asked my mate on Sunday: who are the bigger one man team: Arseanl or Liverpool?
On Topic: Lino is a div - should have at least waited till the final whistle!

Pops, would you still do manly things with Jermain, given the chance?
I could also probably get 30 goals a season playing alongside half the Barca players...
Notsomuch the Feyenoord luck. I could get 30 goals a season in Scotland.sidestreaker wrote:larsson kinda sucked when he played at feyenoord......then he leaves and turnes into this awesome goalgetter....ah yes the feyenoord luck.

i'd hardly call it justice, supposedly the best team in the world took 50 minutes to make an extra man tell and prior to the sending off Arsenal looked by far the better side - though the sending off was fair the ref was subsequently notably more generous to Barca, especially in terms of letting them get away with dubious challenges but then penalising Arse for similar.
Criticising a team that is down to 10 men for playing counter attacking football is pretty ridiculous as well, as is the notion that Arse were a one man team tonight; Almunia, Eboue, Helb, Llunberg and Toure all had notably decent games and no one on the Arse side had bad game.
i can't believe i just wrote that about Almunia. christ.
Barca def seemed to cope with the worsening weather better than Arse did though.
Bad luck Arse fans - look on the bright side, at least it wasn't 4-0 and you won't end up being managed by Terry Venebles next season.
As an aside - ITV's coverage was cock. I don't want to hear dickhead pundits saying that refs should ignore the rules so we can see a better match. Bloody hell.

Did I really hear David Pleat say "the sight is in end" a minute or so before Barca equalised? Learn English, you cock.
Love how The Greatest Player Called Ronaldinho in the World managed to sidefoot it into the corner flag from twelve yards out. Skill.
I think the real issue's gonna be is "will Barca want him after that?"Hound wrote:Odds on Henry going?
He wasnt a happy man after the game.

Ronaldinho didn't have a good game tonight.Brendocon wrote:led Ronaldinho in the World managed to sidefoot it into the corner flag from twelve yards out. Skill.
Maybe the pressure got to him? Or the Arse defence worked really well to get him out of the picture.
He seemed out of balance at times (mentally).
