casino royale trailer

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Looks cool.

They've gone and fecked continuity by having Judi Dench in it tho.

Christ hes tonned right up!

I think that looked pretty cool to be honest, and I didnt question once if he could play Bond i think he might have it.

The films logo with 007 across the face of casinO ROyal is genius.

Since when did Continuity have any part to play with the Bond films anyway? ;)

Visually, zilch!

But scriptwise I don't think there's been many contradictions at all.

apart from mr bond's adventures having spanned what, 40 years? i'm not a bond geek, but i'm pretty sure the dating in the films must be a bit suss by now surely?
and of course, the fact that these super-villian foes he has to vanquish have never heard of the British super agent Bond. I'm guessing that the Evil Genius grapevine is out of commission! ;)

How do we know they spanned 40 years?

Note I said other than visually there was no contradition. ;)

ok, no i know what you're saying, but apart from visually, a lot of the films are set in contemporary (for when they were made) political climates for example... the height of the cold war etc... also, i'm sure a few dates or years or something must have been mentioned at somepoint in some of the films...

It's all explained perfectly well if you consider that James Bond 007 is in fact a Time Lord.

And so was Blofeld.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Some are admittedly tied to the Cold War... that could've all happened in the late 80s (as the Goldeneye flashback was obviously intended to be) making him still middleaged now(tho Roger Moore was obviously 100!).

But yeah, you're right. The Dench thing still puzzles me tho. In Goldeneye she calls him a dinosaur.... what does that make her if she was the one to give him his first ever assignment?!

Just feels like a reboot to me. Yet this is Bond, not Batman.

In the David Niven film, James Bond is just about everyone. Maybe this is a nod to that, where Craig's Bond is merely another agent taking on the role?
