Still, with Erikson's policy of playing certain individuals no matter how injured they are Rooney will still be at the World Cup.

I think if England can easily get over this. Play Carrick or Parker behind Lampard and have Gerarrd as the link man between midfield and the forwards. I mean he can do pretty much everything Rooney can and more. This would free him up to give England the awesome performances that he gives Liverpool week in and week out and solve the problem of how to play Lamps and Stevie G at the same time.

Without Roony we are a good team - but with Roony we can win the WC. his lost will be huge.

My only hope is we get him back by the knockout stages.
