Nintendo DS

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

My DS lite came today. It's lovely.

I love my DS to bits. I have spent more time playing Mario Kart, Advance Wars, Trauma Centre, Phoenix Wright, Meteos, Kirby and Sonic than anything else over the last year.

I bought mine from eBay, it cost £140 which is about £40 more than they will probably cost when they come out here I reckon. I'm a bit of a Nintendo geek so I'm happy to pay more for it.

It is actually quite scary when you compare the DS lite screen to that of the DS. The DS looks dull and murky, whereas before it seemed fine. The DS lite is a lovely piece of kit.

Ultrasabre - Phoenix Wright is an anime style text adventure which puts you in the role of a hotshot lawyer. It is possibly the funniest game I have played in years.

ya there is also this wierd device called a PassKey 2 that supposedly allows ut to trick the DS into thinking it's loading a DS card when its actually loading the files from teh adatpter and a SD or a CF flash card.. so apparently, you are supposed to be able to copy the files from a DS game onto teh SD or CF flash card!! dunno how it works though.. researching..

Eh, never been a handheld fan. Just one more person who will run into me when im walking. Almost as bad as people who insist on looking down and playing with their phone while walking, whatever it is.....it can wait.

I've wanted a DS for ages. Been waiting because of the news for the last year of the Lite version coming out. It my not be as advanced as a PSP but it's a better machine due to the games. Dintendogs has to be the next Tetris. It's not my first choice but once I start I can't stop :)
