A "Mod problem" I got in another board

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

A "Mod problem" I got in another board

Post by The Last Autobot » Mon Apr 03, 2006 3:40 pm

Hello guys. I would appreciate a piece of advice in a forum matter.

Im one of the mods in another forum which is fairly big (It is mainly an anime forum with different sections, one being tfs). Ive been mod for nearly 2 years now of the Tfs section. In the tfs section there are 3 mods, 1 has never ever written or make any sign of being interested or whatsover (but he writes in the rest of non related tfs topics) im the tfs space.

A few days ago in the "only mods section" a topic of which mods were inactive arised and he wrote something of the lines that "you know when a mod doesnt work its shown in their respective area because of the topics and the order...".

I thought to myself, well he sure works here! but I didnt want to make a problem in public so I sent him a pm saying:

"Hello Hajime (his nickname)

I dont know you, but I know that you are also mod of the tfs forum. I write you (really a long time ago I wanted to) because -it seems- that you are never around. I would want to know if someday you ll be here or if you are not interested

I hope you dont take this badly, its only that as I once told Emperor Starscream (the other mod), and in the possible growth of the tfs following, I would want to know If we can count with you

Greetings"

And he answered me:

"I may havent given it the time I should... If you believe I shouldnt be in moderation write to the administration. Meanwhile Ill see around as soon as I have some time for it"

What should I do? Should I reply him something? Write to the adm?

Thx!

Depending on how catty you're feeling you could try the "like you in [x] forum?" approach, in that thread.

Thing is, people do often read forums even if not posting. Has there been anything needing moderating?

A few situations.

The thing is that, in the 2 years the tfs forum exists he s NEVER posted/done anything.

Well, now it turned to be that he is friend of the Administrator and that it will be very difficult to do anything.
