I've been using Wikis more and more over recent months and was going to suggest we start a Transformers wiki... however it seems one already exists.
http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page. It's not got a lot of info in it but someone's gone to the bother of starting it. Now, do people think, as one big happy community, it would be a good thing to join the effort on this one or would people here be up for starting a new one?

[Edit] Never mind. I wrote something that was... err... it was on topic, but I misunderstood the TF-wiki page.

Can't believe I'm still here.

That is true and quantity != quality (but that is the only TF wiki i've come across tho, are there others out there?)Ozz wrote:I don't think there really is a need for another Transwiki, unless one dedicated solely for specific branch of Transfomers, like Marvel comic, which is the most popular at this board. Then again, TransFans.net The Site is basically something like that.

I am SOOOOO addicted to Wiki. To TF to comic book characters/old comic book story arcs, to bands and dystopian fiction, to sexual positions and 80s/90s wrestlers, I love it!

Is it likely to still exist in a year?Legion wrote:do people think, as one big happy community, it would be a good thing to join the effort on this one or would people here be up for starting a new one?
Not seen any other TF wikis. Main wikipedia has a fair amount tho, or did last time I looked.
Wikis are great, totally, but I'm not convinced that TF needs its own tbh, or indeed has the legs, although it's a cool thing and all.
Arg, TF edit wars. Very unappealing.
The only decent fancentric wikis I've used have been Memory Alpha (Star Trek) and Wookiepedia (Pigeon Street) and they were both great ways to lose a couple of hours work...
