Talk Talk

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Talk Talk

Post by Pissin' Poonani » Fri Mar 03, 2006 4:02 pm

So then, Talk Talk-anybody use them?

I've literally just switched to them after one of their reps visited-all sounds pretty good and it's already halved my monthly bill, but it's probably my OCD that makes me fret like an idiot that I'm being taken for a ride somewhere along the line.

Any tales of horror/joy/absolute indiference to share?

:)

Likely more to be perfectly natural paranoia. Everybody gets that. ;)

I've no knowledge of Talk Talk at all... but then I refuse to use any company who do those annoying "sponsor" trails in between programs. So that includes Toucan (though that's mainly from receiving six calls a week one time and me getting very angry with them).

You instigate the deal or did they cold call? :)
Grrr. Argh.

They cold called. I've read mixed reports over on the digitalspy forums, which pretty much makes them the same as any other company in my eyes-I only really got the landline for t'internet, and as I said they've already halved my monthly bill and the calls are cheaper, so fingers crossed.

I'm a paranoid bugger, me. :)

The guy actually said something along the lines of "I'm from Talk Talk, but you're probably more familiar with the band!"

I had no ******* idea what he was on about.

I'm getting old. :(

Well, i received a call from them and agreed to them sending me out some information in the post. The next thing i know is that i'm getting a letter from BT telling me that my phone service is being switched to Talk Talk! Now i never agreed to that or signed anything or anything like that, i just requested more info and they went ahead and tried switching me over! Bastards.
Infact, i think i might have been a customer of there's for about an hour, as BT dragged it's heels with sorting the problem out.

So, in short, i think they're dodgy, be careful.
