Most Annoying Type of Fan?

I have been thinking long and hard about fans and fanboys. What do you think is the most annoying TYPE of fan? Obviously not all of the fans in each category fall into the sterotype. However, as far as stereotypical fans go, I'm gonna give this one to the sports fan.

Why? I've heard these statements uttered from sports fans after my local baseball team, The White Sox, won the world series:

I still get choked up when I think about The White Sox winning the world series.

Why? Is a close friend or family member on the team? How can you get choked up thinking about someone else winning an atheletic competition?

(Guy buying a ton of White Sox Championship T-shirts, hats, bats, plaques, etc) We're winners, aren't we?

No. They're winners. You, my portly amigo, are simply wearing their logo.

All those long years of supporting the franchise have finally paid off!

How did it pay off? You longtime supporters of the franchise are now going to have a tougher time getting tickets and will probably be paying more money for them now.

Then, of course, there are the guys who go out and trash the city when their team wins. Detroit win the NBA championship and there are cars flipped over and torched and widespread looting. I saw a little bit of this back when the Chicago Bulls had their dynasty, but not so much.

So, what'll it be?

I voted Star Trek fan, because I find very annoying the guys who think there are vulcan or klingon or learn the frikking idiom!!!

But really, this kind of contest fits better with an ordinal scale rather than a forced only one option.

Every kind of fan has a disturbing thing like the ones of Sw and all the mumbo jambo of the force and the fan clubs of the guy who appeared 3 seconds but was better than Han Solo.

But well we should also analyze ourselves and see which things are ultra geeky, like the idealization of lower rate characters or the "I keep the toys in their packages" or the "Optimus would own you!" and those kind of things.

My heart really said Game Fans. Even though I'm a game-fan myself, these obsessive ones, that do nothing BUT play, gets on my nerves... With their l33t-speak!!

BUT... the head said the comic-fan, because I've been cruising Newsarama recently, and I've seen some insane character-worship, Batman is indeed one of the most afflicted characters.

And the endless preference-arguements... some people just don't seem to be able to get past that not everyone likes the same kinds of sequentially illustrated literature.

Seriously? Idiots. I don't care which category... there are idiots in every category listed, actually. If they're complete and utter idiots, I want them covered in cooking grease and shot out of a cannon right into a house fire. Or abandoned in the woods. If they can make it out alive, then... I'll relocate tham to another, deeper part of the woods. Like you would do with problem bears.

I diskile video game leet speak and ppl who tell me Kirk is better then Picard.

Actually, I hate ppl when they say "oh but the old orginal is better in regards to X" whene generally it aint.

None of the people I've met who've enthused about those subjects have annoyed me more than any other.
I can't actually think of a time I've been annoyed by that kind of carry-on.

I don't find enthusing, even illogical and highly geeky fanboy enthusing irritating, esp when I can walk away or change the subject and have probably been guilty of it, to them, myself at some point.

It's moaners/whingers that annoy me. You know, the kind of person who just has to complain about something. If they were complaining about something to do with one of the above subjects, it might be half-interesting, but they generally choose to complain about something mind-deadingly tedious and pedestrian. Like the weather or the bus-driver or something.

it's not what they're a fan of, it's the level of stupidity they go about with being a fan! i mean come on, brain cells people, brain cells!!

I voted game fan...

Though if I am allowed to vote again, I would choose car fan instead.... could not sleep at 3am in the morning because some moron wants to play their system really loud while having rev up their engine.

Then there are the "Fart knockers"... pretty much a little car with a giant tail pipe... and the tail pipe looked a whole lot more expensive than the car itself.

Then there are the idiots with the expensive sound system, and a rusting car. Music is loud, but the car looked like it was ready to fall apart if he added another 20 decibels.

Sorry for the "RANT", but it this is one of those feel good moments when you can just scream on the board... figuratively speaking.
