What do you think of the things you might never get to do?

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Random thought. Vaguely related to joining the circus. :p

I just wonder about all the odd little twisted strange things I've always wanted to do but probably never will.

Like kayak myself over a waterfall and live, move to a different country, see every continent [that isn't ******* cold, natch] at least once, travel carefree for as long as I want...

I wasn't kidding when I said I wanted to join the circus. :p But then I probably wouldn't have ninnernet if I did that, and I love my ninnernet too much to say sayonara.

What's a good something to do that will help ease a wanderlust? Asides from, well... joining the bloody circus. ;) And being born rich/spoiled rotten. Anyone know?

Because I'd like to make a good attempt someday.

It sill pains me to think I will never get to fly an X-Wing.
Or go to Mars.

Why do you want to ease the wanderlust? Are there things preventing you from actually going wandering? Even a few weeks away kind of thing.
You could look up some sort of working holiday, or go somewhere remote on the cheap.

Spoiling oneself does tend to be an easy out...nothing quite like Shiny Things.

I've always wanted to go into space. Don't know why really...
It's highly unlikely that i ever will get the chance, unless a budget space-flight is started soon, which is quite unlikely...

Hey saysadie. You can always move to another country to study their language?
Just contact a school and they'll hook you up with an apartment, etc.

A friend of mine went to France for five months and studied french.
The school helped her with everything :)

I doubt I'll get to shag Neve Campbell, even though she now lives in London. Hey, I probably should be stalking her right now!

Not too bothered really, she's getting older now anyway.

While I acknowledge that there is a possibility that I'll never do all the things that I want to, I also acknowledge the possibility that I will, which is much more exciting. Most of the things I really want to, I've done. A UK number one hit single would be nice though.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

If your days are already full and life is OK then, you're doing everything you can, and if you don't manage it all, so what? You lived life to the full.

If you're thinking about stuff like that while not actually doing anything else, then you are going to be saying 'what if' forever. So go do it. Seize the day!

I would regret the many missed oportunities I've had, if they were missed for any other reason than 'I was already to busy to do that, anyway'.

That make any sense at all? I know what I mean anyway  :D

see, what you all need to do is take all those ambitions, think long and hard about the amount of effort they require, and then go to the pub and drown your sorrows at the fact that ultimatly you are a bit lazy and enjoy sitting on your ass to much.

ahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Saw 'Churchill-The Hollywood Years' the other day-Neve Campbells British accent rekindled my love for her.

Hmmm-things I want to do but which I never will...

Create a succesful TV show centred around a zombie armageddon.

Build all of the Grand Theft Auto Islands to scale, out of Lego.

Complete my MOC collection of new Masters of the Universe figures.

Write a massively-multiplayer, galaxy-spanning Transformers browser game.

Having few ambitions and just stumbling into things has worked so far.
