OMG! Everyone, stop f*****g, now!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Earth's population "officially reaches 6.5 billion today"
"At precisely 7:16 p.m. Eastern time today a woman somewhere in the world will give birth and bring the planet’s “official” population to 6.5 billion people, says the U.S. Census Bureau."
Eh heheheheh.

Interesting fact: There are more people living today than have ever died.

40 years ago, there were 30 dead for every living.

Population boom or what?

So, in the spirit of this topic, who a) wants kids, b) thinks we should stop having kids, c) thinks that a certain number of kids for everyone is okay?

a) Not at this point in my life.

b) That's not really an option.

c) This would be too difficult to enforce effectively.

We will spend five gazillion dollars on sustainable living on the Moon or terraforming Mars before you convince the 6.5 billion of us to stop f******.

No worries, the upcoming World war 3 will reduce to population to a tolerable number...

Look back in history, overpopulation is usually followed by war for food and resources.

Or disease.

Bird Flu's working up to doing the rounds. Just like it did 80 years ago.

If the thingy on your thingy were to get a thingy, even a teeny thingy, then you'd be stuck with a whatsit and a whatchamacallit until the whatsit was old enough to do whatever. Unless the whoever you were whatever-it-is with was also using some "you know"... but that doesn't protect you from whatever they are. :o

Stopping the f*****g is the only viable answer! Really!...

This smilie may have the solution:

from a male perspective anyway, from a female perspective we may have to rely on this one: :p

Hopefully both approachs will result in the following:

I remember my senior trip in high school we went to the UN building and the population clock there was just shy of the 6 billion mark. half a billion in a little over 6 1/2 years.... scary.
