So who watched this back in 1992?
I was old enough to know better but was still pretty freaked out.
Watched it again on DVD recently on my own... still spooky despite the wooden acting.
Parky's a legend.

Heh, yeah i watched it again a while back, it does have it's moments but unfortunately i don't think it's aged terribly well... can see what seems to be the influence it's had on Most Haunted for example (and Blair Witch - judging by the end).
still, a worthy addition to the DVD collection! (is it actually available to buy? i had to bittorrent it)

Yeah I remember like, it still scares the ***** out of me. My missus had to do a similar style programme for her media degree group project and she had to watch it, so I sat down with her to watch it and remembered how much it messed with my head.
The "did we see pipes?" moments, then the messed up ending screwed me up as a kid so much I didn't sleep for a week! Did you know a kid commited suicide after he watched it?

Yeah, i remember being quite un-nerved by it, but the ending in the studio kinda unscared me as i thought it was a bit naff...divebomb wrote:The "did we see pipes?" moments, then the messed up ending screwed me up as a kid so much I didn't sleep for a week! Oddly I lent my DVD to my duty manager this week, and it did indeed scare the pants of her (and oddly we both were able to recall that the number given out on air was also the Going Live/Live and Kicking number.
It's a very cleaver bit of TV, the child actors are a bit wooden but cat scratches have never been so scary.
