However, as I am as technical as a dead squirrel, I will require some guidence; how do I retreve those images so that i can load 'em up as my sig and avatar? I'm sure the answer is obvious, so feel free to mock me, but I'm clueless!

I'll have a see if they have the instructions in the faq.

I can tell you however, if you just want the pics for starters, right-click on em' and chose save as, and then where you wanna' store em' on yer hard-drive.

EDIT: After hastily checking rules and faq I say they are rubbish on this subject, so here we go, confusing instructions coming up.

Right, you have the pics on your hard-drive, 'aight? Let's start with the avatar, you go to profile, up to the right of the link where you log out from transfans.

There you will go to the bottom of all them options for your person, and click browse and select the new avatar.

Errm... you change the sig in the same place, except it's slightly trickier. Go up again in the profile-page, and you should see the option for a sig, you put various kinds of text in your sig. So, put this here text in the field where it says Signature. except with no spaces between the IMG and adress.. Aannnd.. that should be it.
