Life on Mars

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Anyone else watching this?

Interesting concept.

I'm thinking Simm's Tyler is like some inside-out version of Eccleston's Doctor. Stomping around in the past (or at least, thinks he is), nothing's fantastic, he's got lots of useless future knowledge, solving crimes without much help from his colleagues except from the one who the others dismiss.

I watched Big Brother instead (freak show! brilliant!) but I recorded this and will watch it tonight.

Talking of Doctor Who, apparently the writer of this is also scripting Episode 11 of Series 2.

I did watch it, and its certainly interesting enough to keep watching, but I've a feeling it could be one of those series where if the payoff isn't satisfactory I'll end up hating the whole thing

I've got a hunch that there's going to be a bit of a Frequency thing going on, where due to his actions in Episode 1, he'll need to help his 1973 self, and also discover that the driver of the car that hit him in 2006 is someone he knows from being in 1973.

That bit with the testcard girl was creepy, mind. Creepier than the OU guy from last week.
