In the good news today henry is staying forever at Arsenal. Good decision. At Arsenal and under Wenger he is world class, for just about other team he has played for, he isn't.
The board need to get out their check books though. We need an out and out striker to target in the box (Nobody ever seems to do this at Arsenal so we just pass it along the last third until we lose it), a central midfielder who can put his stamp on every game, a right back and a centre back (Campbell hasn't got long at the top) with some quality support.
Nice win over Cardiff for Arsenal but I'm surprised that Leeds could hold Wigan. Importantly Reyes is looking more and more like the player we brought.

I'm glad he hasn't. Nice to see some degree of loyality from a player wanted from europes elite.Best First wrote:i think he should have buggered off.
Maybe, but given his history at other clubs and his national side it would imply his performance wouldn't be as consistently fantastic outside of Arsenal's style.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:Henry is class - if he played at barca, or even united or chelski etc he would still be class.
I don't think we have that many. Scoring isn't a problem, especially with Henry staying. We have youngsters-some of which are rapidly becomming a class act e.g Van Persie, Fabregas, Eboure, Falmini.
I think Arsenal have loads of problems.
I think our problems are easily solveable. A new defence and one really excellent central midfielder could get us back to championship form.
Great comeback by Leicester against spurs. It's been a fab weekend for the F.A. Cup.

That's a fairly bizarre piece of conjecture - you're rubbish without him, not the other way around.Jetfire wrote:Maybe, but given his history at other clubs and his national side it would imply his performance wouldn't be as consistently fantastic outside of Arsenal's style.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:Henry is class - if he played at barca, or even united or chelski etc he would still be class.
He's a better player than when he signed for you, no doubt, but the sugestion he would unlearn his current standard as he left is a rather desperate straw to be clutching at.
still, agree its nice to see a bit of loyalty - should give you a platform for rebuilding.
off to highbury next weekend for the boro game - executive seats dont you know.
Sundays results made me feel a lot better about Saturday's...
